While we are getting the umpteenth version of Superman and Batman, there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut. In this edition of Unclixed, it's the former beau of Captain Atom, Plastique!
Appearing for the first time back in 1982, Bette Sans Souci was a terrorist. She wanted to blow some stuff up and send a message, but quickly encountered Firestorm who would humiliate her. So instead of relying just on weapons, she underwent a process to get superpowers and Plastique was born!
But clashing with one radioactive superhero wouldn't be enough for Bette. So she became part of Captain Atom's rogues gallery. Thing is, their adversarial relationship would soon turn into a romantic one. To the extent that they eventually got engaged! Plastique even found herself becoming a part of Cap's team Extreme Justice (yes, it was the 90's when that happened).
Though Plastique wouldn't always be on the side of the angels. On more than one occasion, she's found her way into working for the Suicide Squad. She's also worked for The Secret Society of Super-Villains and no lie, formed a team with the Electrocutioner calling themselves "The Bomb Squad".
And this is why Metahumans don't use Tinder.
Why clix her? Because she is quite literally, the bomb. But if that's not enough there's two reasons I've brought up before with other characters. The first is the more Suicide Squad members clixed, the better. The second reason is that Plastique has made her way to the mainstream on three seperate occasions! Once animated in an episode of "Justice League Unlimited" and two live action instances on "Smallville" and "The Flash".
Take a wild guess what decade this outfit came from.
Who would she play with? The Suicide Squad, Extreme Justice, Captain Atom, the Electrocutioner and the Secret Society of Super Villains!
What would her dial look like? A character with a lot of explosive superpowers seems like a lock for Energy Explosion and/or Pulse Wave. Presumably Running Shot also.
What would your idea of a dial for Plastique look like, folks? Feel free to reply as that's it for this edition of Unclixed! Be here next week for an all new Comic Accurate! And in two weeks, Unclixed will be back with a DC hero!
Got to agree with your choice here, I'm not that up on my dc characters and I've heard of her. Any character who manages the comic to tv crossover 3 times definately deserves to be clixed.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!

Yeah, I'm honestly pretty surprised that we haven't gotten her. She's certainly not top-tier in regards to name recognition, but there are plenty of more obscure villains that have been made.

Surviving Task Force X Booby Trap: Plastique can use Force Blast. Give Plastique a power action and choose an object within range. Deal 2 clicks of damage to all characters occupying or adjacent to the square with the object and remove it from the game.
I remember going through the TPBs of Trinity War and Forever Evil when JLTW came out and being amazed at how close they came to getting everyone with screen time into that set (who hadn't recently appeared in a set like Captain Cold)... Plastique was one of maybe two or three characters in either book who went unmade. Missed opportunity, that. Would love to see her clixed in the Joker's Wild.
Yeah we should really be getting her and rick flag(!)
If it just turns into just another round of harley, floyd and boomerbutt, riot
no offense to those characters, I love em, but they are well and truly clixed

I agree 100%. I may be one of the most vocal Suicide Squad fans on HCRealms, it really is time to start filling out the membership, and Plastique should have a rather distinct dial (and character look) that makes her a no-brainer to represent the earliest days of the Suicide Squad. Rick Flag Jr. is also a disappointing miss.
I'm ok holding off on the Force of July, but let's get Flag, Plastique, Ravan and Punch & Jewelee before/simultaneously with new versions of Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Captain Boomerang was long missing, but he's been well-represented and his next remake can ride the bench for a while.

...and consider me also signed up for a punch & jewelee
I'm a fan of star-crossed villain-hero romances (Harlequin/Alan Scott, Captain Atom/Plastique, Batman/Catwoman, Talia, others). I'm an even bigger fan of villains with a cause. It would be fun to have Plastique.
I have never seen that Liefield-lookin' costume. Terrible. The pink outfit is perfect, and quite practical-looking.
