Strong open, stable values, good damage, but mediocre finish...excpet, Pulse Wave and Outwit to end, while still have perma-Prob and Time Locked and Power Cosmic. Part of me is having trouble getting over a Mar-Vell under 150, but then I look at the version from Galactic Guardians and before and realize how much further this figure has come. Cohesive, stable, good power set, pretty sure this will grow on me over time even when not just acting as an ID-card call in.

Feb 2015: JL Trinity War has have given us the CSA, playable and together. Twice. ROCK ON!
REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it? Still no 19DV Defender? (WoS Groot doesn't count)
Power Girl AND Bust.
I do like this version of Captain Marvel. And while he does seem "under powered", it is technically a Skrull posing as him, so understandable it may not be up to par.
This guys alot better than he is getting credit for! Shape change and imperv, plus prob for the reroll is aolid. Not to mention he's power cosmic. I thnk he is pretty boss
I've been playing him in home games recently, with little success, so I handed him down to my son. He was really excited and started building around him, pairing him with some cheap Perplex, Barrier and Support; as well as with a secondary attacker. He was also extra-careful when positioning. I haven't been able to defeat him so far. My new take on him is that, first he is a finesse piece which requires good positioning, and second that he is low enough pointwise to benefit from well-thought team building. Also, I've come to realize I should not underestimate my 13-year old son...

I really like this figure. Just the amount of things he ignores is Amazing. You can't outwit me or prob me! Traited prob for himself while a little selfish is great! He's a 130 points and has the best support power traited and takes it from you!!!!! Great figure for the price plenty of room for support. Well done.
I love this piece! Just so much good for so little points. Even with more lower point value pieces, he is nuts! Since this is the Skrull version, you can play him, the GG Captain Marvel, and a Carol Danvers version, and have a Captain Marvel team with none of the same character ha ha.
I have really come to enjoy this Captain Marvel. Traited self prob is cool, and at 130 power cosmic he can fit into a lot of low point teams. I mean for 300 you can play SR Venom, LE Iron Man and Captain Marvel. Not to mention all the rest that you can throw into a Pro-Reg team along side them. Not super powerful, benefits greatly from possession or some perplex from your team, and prob only applys to himself. But all in all a really awesome piece that can really put some hurt on your opponent if played well.
My other kid (11-year old), got second place at a 400 pt. CWSOP only event, this last weekend. Captain Marvel was the centerpiece... and he was amazing. Of course, he had good teammates. Yellowjacket was great to buff his DV or DmgV; Microbe was excellent for Outwitting and decreasing DV; Speedfreek brought opponents to the hot zone; and Wasp is such a deadly nuissance.
CapVel has a big target on his head, but has the means to overcome that (PC+SC+Imp.); and becomes even better with some Perplex... add in Support and you have a lean, mean killing machine...

This Capt. Marvel is great....first you get to roll a shape change to see if he even can be attacked, then your opponent has to roll it twice, (prob), and then uou have a shot for imperv, finally there is reducers. For the points, I say OH YEAH!!!
