When Proteus would check to see if he could equip to someone, Say after a Morlock he was equipped to was KO'd, could he then equip to a character who would qualify but is off the map like a character Piloting a vehicle? Or maybe a Grasshopper who did his Double Jump?

Seriously doubt it since the figure isn't on the map. I was under the impression that when a figure is off the map it cant be affected by game effects but Ill subscribe to this one for shins and giggles.
