While we are getting the umpteenth version of Spider-Man and Wolverine, there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut. In this edition of Unclixed, it's the hottest new wacky meta-character, Gwenpool!
For those unfamiliar with Gwenpool, let me explain this right out of the gate: Gwenpool is not an alternate universe version of either Gwen Stacy or Deadpool. She is Gwen Poole, a girl from "the real world" that ended up in the Marvel Universe. Well, that's the in-comics origin of her. Really, she was just a character from a Gwen Stacy-inspired variant cover of a Deadpool miniseries that quickly took on a life of her own through cosplayers. So Marvel decided to cash in and give her her own title.
Within a year, she went from guest-starring in Howard the Duck, to a holiday special to her own series. Going into battle with no superpowers, only guns, swords and a genre-savviness that could only be matched by Abed from "Community". She's faced off against Hydra, MODOK and messing with the Black Cat. She's also met not just Howard the Duck, but also Thor and Doctor Strange. And even though she's only been around for year, this is likely just the tip of the iceberg.
Just imagine her reaction if she ran into Rockabilly MODOK.
Why clix her? Popularity for starters. Plus, there's two sets to possibly include her in: Superior Foes of Spider-Man or Deadpool & X-Force. Probably not the former though at this rate.
They can afford to pay Gwen a lot when they save money by cutting out the creator royalties.
Who would she play with? Currently, she's likely only to be used in team-ups. Her and any of the folks who have reluctantly worked with her, like the aforementioned Howard the Duck, Thor, Dr. Strange and even MODOK when he forced her to work for him. But no worries, I imagine more team-ups are coming, if not eventual membership on a team.
What would her dial look like? She's used guns and swords, so she's probably going to have the varying powers that would correspond with those. But more likely than either of those, she's almost guaranteed to have some sort of bizarre trait or special power that will allow her not to just understand she's a comic character, but also a piece in a game.
What would your idea of a dial for Gwenpool look like, folks? Feel free to reply as that's it for this edition of Unclixed! Be here next week for an all new Comic Accurate! In two weeks, Unclixed will be back with a DC hero!
A few months ago I did a Gwenpool dial (as well as a Gwen-pool and Spider-Gwen duo).

(Movement) I Love Jumping Off Tall Things And Surviving!: Ignores Elevated Terrain Hey, I've Read All About You!: Gwenpool can't be targeted by opposing characters' Perplex. Marvel Team-Up! Featuring: Yours Truly: When building your force, you may choose a keyword. Gwen-Pool possessed that keyword. SCOOT(ER) AND SHOOT (Running Shot) HA HA! SWORDS! (Flurry) SHOOTY McSHOOTYFACE (Energy Explosion) YOU GO AHEAD AND BUFFER (Blades/Claws/Fangs) HASHTAG FAIL HYDRA (Super Senses) IS SHE JUST SPINNING THERE? (Combat Reflexes) I KNOW! I'VE READ ALL YOUR BOOKS (Outwit) I'M A SUPERHERO... DON'T TELL (Perplex)
So she's like one of the Archie characters crossed over into the Marvel universe? Uhh...neato...?
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
On the actual topic, never read a comic with this character but it's probably for the best that she's unclixed as of yet if she's only been around a year or so, if a character gets made that soon they are usually very inaccurate by the time they come out.
5-6 clicks. No damage value higher than 0. 7/8 movement, 8/9/10 attack, 16/17 defense. 5 range, 2 targets.
No normal powers. No printed keywords.
Improved Movement: Ignores Elevated
Trait: Gwenpool does not count for or against a theme team. When attacking, Gwenpool ignores all powers and abilities on other characters. Gwenpool's combat values may not be increased. Gwenpool ignores all damage not caused by an attack.
Special powers - all full dial:
Movement power: Gwenpool may use Sidestep twice each turn.
Attack power: Gwenpool can use Energy Explosion as if her damage value was 1 and Blades/Claws/Fangs. When she uses Blades/Claws/Fangs, subtract 3 from the d6 roll, minimum 1.
Defense power: Gwenpool may use Super Senses, but succeeds on a roll of 3-6. All damage dealt to Gwenpool is reduced to 1. This power may not be countered or ignored.
Damage power: Gwenpool can use Shape Change and Probability Control. When using Probability Control, Gwenpool can reroll any attack roll targeting her regardless of range and line of fire.
Flawed and over the top? Possibly. But the character itself is a ridiculous concept, and deserves a dial that is more based on luck to survive and actually do anything. Low combat values, lots of random chance and the ability to laugh off damage are essential for this character.

Reason: Taking it even farther...
The idea behind the character isn't good, but the comic itself isn't bad at all. The writer and artists really try their best to develop her and make her more than girl deadpool.
I can see her being the deadpool and the x-force ultrachase, only because of her popularity, and like when they did jane thor, not knowing what her powers really are, and making a more generic dial.
