I'm playing in a DC only 300 point tournament on Saturday and considering my options. What does everyone think of using Amazo in a 300 point tournament? 195 is a lot of eggs in one basket, but then again DC figures are generally more expensive, so smaller teams are the norm. Can I adequately support him? What would you use to support him? Finally, how good of a figure is he really? I mean he's got a lot of options, HSS, 3 damage + RCE, SS, decent range. Is he a jack of all trades and master of none? Would you attack from range for 5 using RCE using a taxi or use super strength and hypersonic to fly by and smash with a heavy object also for 5? I'm undecided about this figure.

I have played amazo in a few 400-500pt games so far and he is a monster. I would not advise playing such a high costed figure in anything less than 400 preferably 500 pt games. Playing with such a high costed figure in a low point game like that just gives opponent an easy goal. If your team consist of 30-60 point figures then your opponent must make harder choices when attacking because you have more than just 1 giant threat. Just my 2cents. hope that helps a little.

You can help support him by having him go soaring on his last click of movement on outdoor maps on a HSS attack. It can be considered a cheap thing to do but you did pay the points for him. Back him up with a Harley Quinn and some Parademons.

I'd back him up with some chili-cheese tator totts and some good tie-up figs like R Huntress, VRobin and maybe a R Harley Quinn (could perplex Robin and/or Huntress up to 3 damage on round not helping Amazo). Could be pretty deadly. Top it off with a 9 point Easy co. healer and a parademon scout or two and you got a pretty killer 300 pt team. Good luck!

Rok. Hawkman (32pts)
Rok. Live Wire (22pts)
Rok. Deathstroke (40pts)
Rok. Easy Company Medic (9pts)

298pts total.

You have a taxi for Amazo (Hawkman) who can get him into the fray faster. You also have a taxi for deathstroke so you can get him into position faster to outwit a defensive power on Amazo's target. This will help out Amazo because he can deal more damage to imp. or tough figures since he is really your only attacker. The medic is self explanitory.

I Used him in a 300pt game and the first game i did ok but in the second i got captured by a sentinal and in the 3rd game i got stuck playing indoors. so by my experince u should have a taxi with phasing and another attack piece.

With the new flyer rules this is no longer viable.

I'd just use him like I use my OWAW superman, fly in, shoot for 3, and run away to soaring. If its convenient or safe to try for the superstrength attack or a RCE go for it, but otherwise keep him out of reach and nibble away. With support figures for outwit that 3 damage will go a long way most of the time. Other figures that'd make good backup would be a Vet or Exp green arrow to incapacitate your opponents figures to discourage him chasing after amazo and some perplexers for if you want to do more than just 3. Then there's the obligatory medic

Any new flyer rules haven't taken effect yet. In addition, all we have is speculation now based on one article. Only WizKids really knows what rule changes (if any) will occur.

Hey Kon-el...By posting that, you pretty much stated that your team sucked pretty hardcore because Oliver Queen is the Fellowship prize...And as we all know, the fellowship prize is awarded to the best sportsman/main loser...At Marquees, the 1st place winner (if that's what you claim you were) are not allowed to choose which prize they would rather have...1st HAS to take Oswald Cobblepot, no ifs ands or buts...On top of that, how are you even allowed to play in a CJ Marquee with HT Figures...Its a sealed CJ booster tourney...Where'd you get the Robin and Aquaman from???

They were offrering oliver queen as 1st place, and It was a sealed booster. (HT or CJ)
