Well, looks like I'll be finally going to my first constructed tournament, a 300 pt DC. Which of these two teams should I play?
TEAM 1 - Green Lantern 1st Strike
R Green Lantern
R Saturn Girl
E Bane
E Mad Hatter
R Lady Shiva

Team 2 - Cap's Wonder Woman Team
E Wonder Woman

The first team uses the double GL movement to swamp the opponent first turn, 3 Batman Enemy sharing Bane's 11 perplexed attack, etc. Lady Shiva is such a bargain hanging out with Bane. Is first strike the way to go?
The second team has proven very solid in playtesting against Batman Ally teams and Wildcards.
I don't know anything about the venue or what is currently popular - ie, GL swarms, or Batman ally teams, etc.
I played the Cap "Team of Doom" and swept the tournament. The only fig lost all day was a rookie Steel. There were only 9 players though...
If you see this Cap, I got to say, your team is the bomb! Well, I'll probably play the GL team next time - will probably tweak it to try and get E Saturn Girl in there instead.
One problem I already see with that GL team – you are an absolute sitting duck for EE or a Mind-Control attempt on Bane, Saturn Girl, or even the Hatter. Your highest defense is a 17 at range with GL, but everyone else is an easy 15 or less. That's the problem with the GL team ability – it leaves you very vulnerable for the counterattack.
Yup...although EE isn't as much of a threat in DC-only because of the lack of SHIELD and enhancement. Still...Ted Kord shooting from a roof could possibly do 26+ damage in a best (worst) case scenario :-)
Oh, I meant the Wonder Woman team I have posted up there - its your team. We've called it the "Team of Doom" in playtesting because Wonder Woman is such a beast - no pun or allusion to Doom or Doombots or anything like that intended. Its just very solid, and complete undermines Batman and Batman allies.
Undermines the Batman TA!? Bah! Clearly, people on these boards don't know how to use Batman TA.

I'm not going into the hows or whys, but I'm reasonably certain this team could beat that Wonder Woman team. Take out Huntress and your team is not nearly what you want it to be. You've got 2 key figures that wouldn't make it past round two. Get rid of Huntress, no more stealth for SG, it's all downhill from there.
Thugit, we are not getting into this discussion again! By exploiting Batman's 6 range, Steel and Saturn Girl coult hurt. And Huntress should be sitting back, making you go through the rest of the team before you get to her. But, please can we just end this here? My fingers still hurt from all the typing we did last time.
Couple things - first off, Thugit, your Batman team there is a lot more balanced and solid than the ones I faced, with some good JLA movement to speed attackers along, perplex to make his 9 attack a little more intimidating, etc. It'd be a tough match. I really like how that team is built.
Cap's right - Huntress needs to hang back on clean-up duty, and the early game is about out-ranging them with Saturn Girl and Steel until Wonderwoman can commit. Got to make it a chess match - that double incapacitate, double outwit is so strong on those guys.
I'd say a much more important piece to take out is Steel. A Saturn Girl seeing (and mind-controlling) Nightwing and Bats is a real threat, and chasing down Huntress (who should be staying out of the way, stealthed) just brings you closer to the Wonder Woman love.
