Six villains are pulled together for a mission that could get them all killed... if they don't kill each other first. In this edition of Comic Accurate, it's the cast of Identity Disc!
The inspiration for this article comes to us from the Comic Accurate Mailbag! HCRealms poster Baron Impossible wrote:

I was going through my recent clix acquisitions, thinking of comic accurate teams for each and revisiting teams I've played before in the new light of new clix. looking at my uxm juggernaut I remembered the poorly written, blatant dc rip off in-name-only identity disc. despite its many flaws it had an awesome lineup. if you're not familiar it was a team of 6 villains:
I think it would make for a great article and a great excuse to play some fun clix combinations.
Indeed it will. The miniseries was about the aforemetioned six villains who are all drafted to obtain a disc that like the title infers, held the identities of many superheroes. There's death, deceit and shock twists throughout a story that was conveniently timed to release while DC's Identity Crisis was out. Anyways, here's our team...
Why these figures - While there are plenty of versions of the characters in this book, I opted mainly for newer versions with the exception of Deadpool. Deadpool got selected because to this day, that Ridiculous Regen power still holds up. And since I had a few points left over, I just tossed the old Cyttorak gem relic on there. Who knows, if Juggy picks it up, he could have some options besides the already terrific powers.
Tips for running this team - The bulk of this team is close combat oriented, so they're going to be running a lot of interference for Deadpool and Bullseye. Choose a map that will give them cover before they can charge into action, but room enough that Deadpool's line of fire won't be blocked. Bullseye won't have to worry with his improved targeting. And don't forget to wild card the Syndicate TA so Deadpool can lend Vulture and Sandman a twelve attack!
Let us know how the Identity Disc crew did for you! That's it for this edition of Comic Accurate! Next week is an all-new Unclixed, and in two weeks it's (hopefully) another something related to Superior Foes!
Awesome team, how about doing customs based on the movie that inspired this?
That's an awesome team. It would be cool to see someone come up with a DC villain counterparts team to match them (most likely including Deadshot)..
The premise always reminded me more of the Usual Suspects movie. See IMDB at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114814/ for more information about this awesome movie.
What if someone could come up with customs for the Usual Suspects:
while at 400 i'm set, I think the more comic accurate one with the 500 point would be with the black and gold juggernaut, but also he helps the mobility of the team, plus the SHIELD ID card fits the theme well if you read the story and bring in someone like S.H.I.E.L.D. Elite Agent.
just wish that Sabretooth was in his classic uniform, working of getting that modded for this team.
While I have never really considered Identity Disc a great story, it still remains one of my favorites. I guess it's a guilty pleasure. Heavily inspired by Usual Suspects, which I loved, the team and the "banter", especially between Deadpool and Bullseye, was very amusing. To anyone who hasn't read it, it's a fun read, and you should give it a try.
And thank you, ArsenalRoy2K and Baron Impossible, for reminding me that I need to play this team! Great article.
And I do like Deadpool2449's suggestion on the Level 1 ID card, instead of the Gem. Bringing in the Elite Agent would be very thematic.

What if someone could come up with customs for the Usual Suspects:
Kobiyashi - played by Pete Postelthwaite - Outwit, Shape Change, short dial
Keaton - played by Gabriel Byrne - Range Combat Expert, Shape Change
Michael McManus - played by Stephen Baldwin
Fred Fenster - played by Benicio Del Toro - something to represent nobody being able to understand him
Todd Hockney - played by Kevin Pollak
Dave Kujan (the Customs Agent) - played by Chazz Palminteri
Agent Jack Baer - PD - played by Dan Hedaya
Sergeant Jeff Rabin - PD
That would be an awesome little team pack/gravity feed set.
Nice idea. I'd put perplex on Fenster.
It's no surprise that Identity Disc reminded you of the usual suspects. It's essentially a beat for beat knock off of the movie with even entire chunkcs of dialogue cribbed and reworded.
