It was just brought to my attention that I'm a moron.

The LE Spidey is obviously Peter with the symbiote and NOT the post-CW, Back in Black Spidey as I claimed. Duh!

I'd give a nod to the AvX Spidey which I feel was the first very playable regular Spidey (the asm ones were close, but I was still left wanting more out of even asm201); 4-6 senses from range, 19 def up close, shape change, incap, and an improved move and attack with super strength...

He would have been my honorable mention!

here here. I was wondering how he got skipped over. he might be a tad pricey but he was the closest to feeling like Spidey for me for a while (the current web clix fx for ranged attacks would've rounded it out for me).

when I go for a Parker I have a hard time not resorting to the LE, although the new SR @100 is making his way into my Spidey builds. I have to admit that I've played the LE with the Black Cat with Defenders a few times but I've retired that tactic for my opponents' sake (for now).

Really the only thing that denotes that LE as "symbiote" is the SONIC SENSITIVITY trait. That's it. Everything else plays like Spidey should play. I've recently re-read the alien costume saga and other than having to change his clothes the symbiote changed Pete while he was awake in no way. He wasn't stronger or more aggressive. The dial fits more with the Black in Black story, trait not withstanding.

Honorable Mention: FI Spidey: Great dial. Things Spidey should do except fly. Missing the TA but has Indom and other good keywords.

Honorable Mention 2: SI Spidey: For all of the reason James mentioned. I swapped the sculpt with the M10 Spidey. Jeremiah's sculpt mod was great.

3: CW013 Spider-Man: 80 pts, traited Super Senses, Side Step if he hits, ESD, Charge and Flurry, Eleven AV, good keywords and the TA. Fantastic.

2: M15-008 Spider-Man: My favorite costume and he plays great. I wish he had a few more named keywords but so, so good. And for the record I did win that game with him on the Scientist team . Jeremiah hit Spidey knocking him onto Charge/Flurry. He lost his attacker after that. Captain Mar-vell and Protector took up the reigns from there.

1: SSoSM049 SR Spider-Man: For all of the reasons listed. Looking forward to playing him sometime in the near future
