I appreciate your analysis of the game. One thing I would note is the fact that not only have Starters been rare, but there have been no new Ultra-Heavy objects in ages, even in the few starters we've had. My buddies and I have resorted to making customs (which is fun, but we can't take them to Wizkids Open or ROCs, etc). Do you think that it's intentional and connected to their reversal of power-creep, or just an oversight?
As far as I remember, it was only the last starter (Civil War) that didn't come with the ultra-objects. In fact that whole starter came with outdated objects. I checked the copyright on the back of them, and it was listed as 2013 or 2014. Probably just an oversight, bit it is definitely an area where WizKids could direct a good deal more of their attention.

Turtles starter also didn't have Ultraheavies, which has had me wondering. Once is (probably) an oversight (with Wizkids, it almost definitely is), but twice means we're starting to see a pattern.

The Turtles set barely had anybody that could USE them, though. That simple addition might have made them a slightly more viable starter, though.
