That is correct. Swimming up a waterfall is tricky.
Namors must have a habit of confusing people with their speed types.
I remember having arguments with people every time I would Carry SI Namor. He had and a power or trait which gives him Flight. People who use shorthand to remember rules (always a bad habit) would say "Flyers can't be carried."

When the phoenix came out I had the opposite problem of people trying to use Foot symbol characters with a fragment as carriers because "flyers can carry"

And I've had that argument with folks over that particular Namor, too.
