Forgive me if this question has already been answered (Or if it's a stupid one), but I could not find it searching the forum.

If you have a character with perplex and there is an opposing character adjacent to them can you still use perplex on other targets besides yourself and the characters you are adjacent to?

Like if I had a friendly character within line of fire can the line still be drawn to them even though I am based by an opponent?

Yes as long as your character can draw line of sight to the character. As far as I know the only power that can't be use while adjacent to an opposing character is support.

I am guessing that Frost is thinking that Perplex is shut down when adjacent to an opponent in the same way that ranged combat is shut down.

Perplex is not a ranged attack, so the rules pertaining to attacks do not apply.

The perplexer is free to target whoever he can see regardless of adjacency.

That would make for an interesting scenario, though.

Heroclix only deals with Line of Fire. There is no line of sight. Makes it simplier that way.
