Are Captain Boomerang's two traits (Coward at Heart and Missed...or Did I?) cumulative?
Quote
COWARD AT HEART: When making an attack, modify Captain Boomerang's attack value by +1 if his line of fire to each target crosses a square occupied by another friendly character.
Note: He also has Improved Targeting: Ignores Characters
Quote
MISSED!... OR DID I?: When Captain Boomerang makes a ranged combat attack targeting a single opposing character with 5 squares and misses, after actions resolve give him a free action to modify his attack value by +1 and make a ranged combat attack against the same target.
In other words, if I use Captain Boomerang to make a ranged attack and the line of fire passes through a friendly character and I miss the initial attack, when I use the free action to make a ranged attack against the same target, do I add the +1 Attack from Coward at Heart and the +1 Attack from Missed...or Did I? together to get +2 to my attack roll since the second attack is also passing through the friendly character's square?

Assuming that those wordings are correct, yes.
Note that the DDM will kick in and drop your damage, though.
Harpua, I've only played for a few years, but why would the DDM kick in in the 1st attack was a miss? I thought it only kicked in on successful attacks

"Each time an attack resolves, modify the attacker’s damage value by -1 (minimum 1) until the end of the turn."
