Ep. 225: Dishing on Deadpool and Examining X-Force
Dylan and Jeremiah put in some extra time to discuss their games, spotlight the Weapon X program, and discuss a bunch of the Deadpool and X-Force dials that we've seen so far.
Another great cast! Just wanted to add a note about the shout out to those new players Jeremiah mentioned. Kurt, Josiah, and Caleb recently started playing at my venue. Kurt is the Dad of both Josiah and Caleb and as a comic book fan has been enthusiastic and very supportive of his kids playing Clix. The kids have both been very quick studies and from what Kurt tells me, they watch youtube videos and study the game at length trying to learn it better and trying to get the hang of all the ins and outs. They have now played at my venue about 3-4 times and these were the first tournaments that they had ever played. They were a natural fit to the venue, and have been enjoying coming as often as they can.
There was a couple of weeks where they just didn't show up and I hadn't heard from them about what was going on. Life gets busy (Especially with kids) so I really didn't think too much of it. Well, it turns out that the oldest son (Caleb) had been in the hospital for over a week with a rare medical condition. That's why I asked Jeremiah for the shout out...to wish Caleb a speedy recovery and to wish the family well.
Flash forward to present day and Caleb and family have returned to my venue. Though visibly worn out, Caleb made it through all three rounds of the tournament this past week and even managed to get a win. He appears to be on the mend and is in good spirits. We love having them at my venue, and I just wanted to take a minute to get you all up to speed.
Thanks to Jeremiah and ClixCast for granting me that shout-out request!
