Today, we’re taking another look at the upcoming Marvel HeroClix: Avengers/Defenders War set by diving into the dark side of one of the Marvel Universes greatest heroes, Daredevil!


This version of the man without fear is the Daredevil from the Shadowland event, where he took control of the villainous ninja clan, The Hand. At 80 points, Daredevil has 6 clicks of life, as well as a range of 4 squares with 1 target. In addition to The Hand, he can also be played on Martial Artist, Mystical, and Ruler themed teams. [...]

Feels sufficiently brutal for the cost, and punishing enemies for evading their attacks is just MEAN. While I definitely want to see how good the called in Hand Ninja is (the potential for another figure every turn with action token abuse needs to be better than feeding an opponent points to be worth it), I'm definitely willing to use 80 points to field this guy. Color me impressed.

Nice looking figure only trouble is if I pull him I'm going to end up having to give him to my son, he's a massive hand ninja team fan. Would be nice to see something from the more common rarities next.

I wonder if this is a throwback figure. I just got a Daredevil to use as a sideline piece for Matt Murdock, but this figure feels like it has more to offer for a Shadowland theme. Also hoping we get some kind of figure that can stop "call ins" the way Dead Girl stops STOP clicks.

Looking at this guy just makes me want to do a mystic team with Rat King. A team of guys on thrones would be so awkward, and at the same time feel very Yu-Gi-Oh to me (YGO is a strange thing). I just hate that I'd basically have to get a case to get a chance of getting this guy, not to mention all the hands he'd need.

I played Rat King, Nightmare, Mephisto, and Hades in a 500pt game once or twice. It wasn't as much fun to play as it was to just assemble the sculpts and say "yes, those are some bad dudes in chairs."

I agree. I love figures that can generate BST's or standard characters, I just hope the 015 Hand Ninja is at least as good as the DXF Ninja.

if the Hand Ninjas have the Hydra TA, just imagine the possibilities. "You need a lower defense on that enemy? Here, have a Hand Ninja next to you"

From the number Im thinking this Daredevil is actually the first chase previewed.

Ugh. I hate when there's furniture. Glad for the people who make chair teams though...

Ditto. He looks brutal and effective, but I really hate chair sculpts...

Kinda wish the wording was "a character named Hand Ninja" instead of just a specific one but I like it!

Do we know what the theme of the chases will be? is it going to be figures that can summon other figures from the set?

I'm feeling burnt out on such characters.


As far as this character goes...this was the Daredevil storyline that got me to drop the title.

From the looks of it, Daredevil IS the chase theme, which I am somewhat ambiguous about. Hopefully, it will turn out to be dark takes on heroes instead, since that would at least provide some variation and figures we haven't seen a version of before.

I'm thinking the chases might be more powered up versions of Avengers/Defenders characters. We still haven't seen a number for Worldbreaker, but we know he's in the set as well.
