My Penguins are well into the Conference semis.
Anyone's team still alive? Anyone's team hit it big or get screwed by the lottery?

Being that I am from Columbus...we are not friends any more...lol.

Seriously though, even though it was a 4-1 series, it was still a lot of fun and good hard hitting action. Wish Goalie Bob didn't disappear during the playoffs...

Still, it was a good year despite the early exit and I am already looking forward to next year. Love Scotty Hartnell, but I think it is time to move him, as he doesn't have the speed to keep up with the Pittsburgh's of the division. Same with Dubinsky, but I want him to stay, if only for the destructive rivalry between he and Crosby.

Haha lol. The series was much closer than the record indicated. I cannot stand Hartnell or Dubinsky, but I think it would be in Columbus' best interest to move them. They are very young though and if Bobrovsky stays consistent, they will be good for a long time!

I'm a Penguins fan as well so I just watched Pittsburgh go up 3-1 on the Caps.

All right, another Pens fan!! Fleury stood on his head tonight. I was getting pretty nervous when they seemed to be playing completely in their end through most of the third, but pumped for a win!!

I'm a Leaf's fan, and my wife is an Oiler's fan. I'm happy with how we played the Caps to 6 games, and excited for this upcoming season. Hoping to pick up some defensive help, and maybe one or two more veteran players to help coach up our rookies.

Watching game 5 of the Oilers/Ducks series in overtime is getting to my wife - allowing 3 goals in 3 minutes was brutal for the oilers.

Ahahaha ! Penguins win Game 7 2-0 and continue to torment the caps.
It's kinda insane to think the injury changed Penguins have finished off the #1 and #3 teams, how much better would they be if the F's and D's were at full strength ?

Go Preds! Smashville needs a title! It has been a long time since the Eastern Hockey League's Nashville Dixie Flyers won back-to-back in '66 and '67.

Truth in advertising: I'm not a giant hockey fan, but I love the city of Nashville.

The Oilers and the Leafs will be making deep playoff pushes over the next few years for sure. Too much young talent across the board. I think they both needed this year to kinda get their feet wet before they'll be really dangerous.

Moving around a lot leads to curious sports loyalties. My biggest commitment is to the Orioles, but I live in San D now. Lots of family in middle Tennessee, and I worked in Nashville for awhile. Also, Nashville has really tried to embrace the Preds. The Athens of the South could sure use a title -- the Nashville Sounds ain't cuttin' it, and we shall not speak of the Titans.

The Conference finals come to NBC.
Game 5 tonight is Western Conference at 7:15pm EST and Eastern Conference is tomorrow at 3pm EST.

Nashville has way more hockey heritage than either Ottawa or Pittsburgh, and therefore deserves the Cup more.

Heck, Ottawa isn't even in the USA.

Taking a clean goal away and gifting the 1st part of a 5 on 3 powerplay turned out to be too much, ridiculous calls by the refs and aside from the 2nd goal from Ottawa being amazing the Pens looked like they would win before that. Game 7 Thursday, sigh.
