Len Wein passes away over the weekend.

Co-creator of Wolverine, Swamp Thing, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and editor that brought on the British Invasion of the 1980s and edited, among many other things, Watchmen.

A real loss of a hugely creative guy.

And yes, he had played and enjoyed Heroclix as well.

Read a couple of interviews with him, and I loved the guy.

I had the honor and privilege of enjoying Len's company on a few occasions way back when I was with HERO. He was an amazing guy even if you ignore all his professional accomplishments. Definitely a loss to the world.

I know, being in their sixties is hardly ancient, so they've probably got quite a few years left. But after recently losing Len Wein (69) and Bernie Wrightson (68), and knowing that comics creators aren't always well-off financially...

Yeah, that is depressing. I've been gearing up for it, though.

I got him to sign some stuff at a convention a long time ago. He sure seemed like a nice guy.

Ohhhh no! I was just reading some of his Swamp Thing a bit ago too. Bummer. He was a cool, but I had no idea he played clix. That's too neat. I'm sad to read of his passing.
