this set is based around the eponymous crisis in time, as well as bloodlines and is really an excuse to design dc '90s nostalgia. the frequently clicked in this set will also be distinctively '90s iterations, providing a different take on the usual suspects. thanks to some not inconsiderable overlap, there's a ton of subthemes here: jla, titans, amazons, metropolis, gotham city, young justice, l.e.g.i.o.n., r.e.b.e.l.s., bloodpack, psybarats, new bloods, primal force, superboy and the ravers, reign of the supermen, sovereign seven and outsiders. the chases are the big bads of crossover events of the decade and thanks to a little '90s extreme(!), the set is a bit bigger than usual and sports an excessive amount of LEs, all to push the set to exactly 90 dials
Oh my God - that hair. I swear, if Superman's mullet doesn't factor into his dial somehow, it'll be a true missed opportunity. I have no idea HOW the Supermullet can translate into powers and stats, but I know that if anybody can do it, it's you.
ASK ME ONCE I’LL ANSWER TWICE JUST WHAT I KNOW I’LL TELL BECAUSE I WANNA!
SOUND DEVICE AND LOTS OF ICE I'LL SPELL MY NAME OUT LOUD BECAUSE I WANNA!

Perplex is a pretty easy way to incorporate it, or Shape Change.

I love that long Haired Superman look, I even have an action figure with it so I can always remember it in all it's terrible glory.
However, how come there's no Time Trapper? I'm pretty sure he was in Zero Hour.
he was, but a very limited role. pretty much only to reveal himself to rokk as himself and to get powersucked by extant
I know want to copyright the phrase "powersuck"

heh, yeah I had completed draft on this one very shortly after I had started posting contest of champions. been working on tweaks and fixes to it for a couple months now and have been eager to get it published

lol, he had supermullet for years, too. the magnificent 7 era that revitalized the jla as the book began with his delightfully dated haircut.
respect the mullet!

(100)The System: When Batman KO's an opposing character, the action counts as a free action instead.

Damn. How do you find time to sleep? I love the set choice. Any chance to get some Legion characters and I'm game, even if they are L.E.G.I.O.N. characters.

You and me both.
Now on to the first dial.
Batman: Now, AzBat's here is a total beast, I don't really like the character himself, but the dial you did for him his none the less excellent and comic accurate. The bonus attack when there are no allies around to keep him in check is a novel idea and works well with his trait to keep him on the offensive.
I like how the dial ramps up on attack and the more reliant upon BCF he becomes. I did have a question on the damage power. How I interpreted this is if no friendlies in range +1 for each badguys. If friendly is within range printed is locked.
Or I guess it could be that whatever the value is when a friendly comes in range it is locked at that. So if you were next to 3 opposing figures, then moved a friendly within 5, it would lock at the +3 as long as the friendly was in range.
I'm thinking it's the latter.
Well done on the design. This guy feels like Azbat for sure.

I thought he got blasted by Parallax before he revealed he was Rokk? Oh well, either way I guess your right about his role being limited so he isn't necessarily an auto-include in a Zero Hour based set list. Actually though I really liked the revelation that their greatest enemy was really a future version of Cosmic Boy, it could have been an interesting story angle if they had used it in later comics.
Anywho, I'm excited to see you do Valor, Mon-El is one of my favorite characters so it'll be neat to see how you handle him. I'm also excited to see you do Superman(hopefully with a image from his long haired days attached ).
