Up until recently I have been storing all of my Judging stuff (figures, maps, prizes, extras) in a large rolling cart. This was perfect because it allowed me to store everything, wheel it into the venue, and had extra room for whatever else I needed. Also, the venue has no room for our stuff, so I have to store my stuff in my hours and transport them to and from the venue.
However, the venue I judge at changed locations and now has stairs. On top of that I moved to a 3rd floor unit, which means wheeling it to and from my car will become an issue.
I like to bring several prize sets with me, approximately 20 maps for variety, some extra teams/figures for new players, and supplies like dice and tokens for players who forget them.
Fellow judges-- What kind of storage solutions do you use? Thanks!
I'm actually in a similar situation, in that my store doesn't have room for the Clix stuff, so I transport it all.
I actually use an empty outer case carton from bricks to hold everything. Inside that, I have 2 boxes, 1 for maps, 1 for prizes. For those, I use old OP kit boxes. Only problem is, the prize box an older one from a bigger OP kit (it actually hold like 24 figures). Our map box is just a normal set release OP kit box, which holds 1 of each Modern legal map easily.
It also leaves plenty of room for other stuff, like the Plano box I use for dice/tokens/objects, and whatever box I'm using for my team, rules/PAC, printed out Comp Rules supplement, and usually anything else I want to bring. And I only have to worry about carrying one box.
Even without the inner boxes, the box from a case is pretty much perfectly sized. Maybe just take another piece of cardboard (like one of the liner pieces cases come with) and divide it in half, one side for maps, one side for prizes.
I also only keep one copy of each figure in our prize box at a time. I always let people pick their prizes from whatever is available, and had to start limiting it to one copy after we had a couple months where people grabbed all the copies of one figure the first week. Its actually worked out a lot better this way.
How big is your large rolling cart? Could you switch to a duffle bag and carry everyone that way?
It's a rolling tool chest that fits a ton of stuff. I don't have the make or model, but it's pretty darn bug. Duffel bag would be a good idea, though!

my venue holds on to prizes, they have storage for it
Similar to the last person's duffel bag idea. Definitely easy to carry! I wish my venue had storage, but they opted for more table space for their back room so I can't complain.

If I don't find anything I will have to ask them about large boxes. I think I'll find something in the meantime.
I do the same thing with the prizes, too. My venue ordered a bunch of older OP kits for me to use as extra prizes, so I have a bag of those and I bring a few newer ones so players don't gobble them up too quick.
If you still want the capabilities of using wheels just look for one of those travel suitcases, the kind that fit in the overhead compartments. They are made for going up the steps but practical enough that they can be carried easily too. They can be found at any thrift store or maybe even at a nearby yard sale.

I try to keep our small group and events as they are running in an organized fashion. Every week I bring my team, a bunch of maps, extra objects and tokens for others, and lots of duplicate pieces to give away to newer players.
To be honest, I just use 2 over sized reusable shopping bags, with smaller bags inside them to divide stuff and make things easier to find.
My final ingredient is I use Tupperware type food containers from take out food, washed clean and dried, to group smaller items together, like 3D objects and terrain markers.
I am not a judge, but some of us transport a lot of the same items you listed.
Most Wanted:DC Super Friends - El Dorado, Rima.
Finish the classic Legion of Super-Heroes - Light(ning) Lass, Ferro Lad, Chemical King, Quizlet.
I'm going to weigh in, but don't really listen to me as I have a situation that is different than most people's. I'm the manager of the store that I judge at. If I want to do something, the only person that I have to clear it through is myself. I also have a VERY large back room that has a TON of storage space as well as enough tables/chairs to run a 40 person HeroClix tournament. I keep all of the maps at the store as well as all of the prizes. Prizes are obviously kept in a more secure location, but the maps (All of which are my personal maps) are kept in boxes in the back gaming space.

The other game store I play at (but not judge) has a large storage area for Clix. The one I judge at, however, has zero storage space in the store (there is a warehouse outside of the store where things are kept that I don't have access to). I couldn't even keep the maps out if I wanted to. However, there is enough room for 180 people to play games comfortably, so there's that.... lol

Damn...180?! I could fit that many in my back room, but there would be no games being played unless the name of the game was "Asses to Elbows"
