I'm really curious to see if they're going to actually follow through with this. Because not too long ago, the Batwoman creative team weren't allowed to have that sort of thing happen under the auspices that "heroes couldn't be happy".
Thats what most of the BatCat fandom were thinking about.
Though that was a while ago and DC seems to have gotten their act together since rebirth. I mean, Lois and Clark are married again and even have a kid that got a duo book with other kid. (I hate damian so much...)
but that is the new normal. I believe DC's word on it was "nothing new can happen with loner, dark, and brooding batman. This is something that has never been done."
So... I think it'll actually stick. Atleast for a while. DC just needs to make sure the writers understand how to write a married couple.

Hahaha, or they could just turn it in to a soap opera.
Writing Soaps is easier. Cue the misunderstanding, jealousy, cattiness (sorry, couldn't resist), and angst.
Then in a few years we can have loner!Batman back, this time with tragic-romantic!back-story.
Not that I wouldn't love them all happy and Earth-2*, but I don't think DC could keep that up.
*I grew up reading the Earth-2 Bruce/Selina/Helena/Dick family--loved it! I just hate how every Batman is MOAR grimmer! moar grittty! moar dark! but I think that's what most Batman readers are expecting, and frankly what they want!

Damian is awesome! Both kids are....Super Sons is maybe my favorite current superhero book right now.

As a big Batman guy myself...I don't want that...I want good stories. That's all I want.
We have yet to see the fallout from DC: Metal the Bruce we get back from wherever he went might not be the one who proposed to Selena and now........back to status quo.

AAAAAHHH!!!!
Also:
the Superman vs. Watchmen prize fight (coming mid-November!) is basically a continuity war, so we might have dozens of Batmen & Catwomen**, or we might end up with two that don't even know each other's secret identities.
I feel like DC is Lucy holding a football...
I want to trust...
(**this would be awesome, but except for the Silver Age Earth-1/Earth-2 stories, DC usually loses interest in the multi-verse and forgets to write about the other 'verses for years at a time.)
I figured, with the way DC keeps changing things around, she'd turn him down and announce it's because she's already married. And her husband is none other then... I don't know, but that seems to be the way things are going for both, DC & Marvel.
The way keeping shaking things up. Changing, if not ignoring, continuity. Then trying to return the status quo, but not quite to what it was before because the hole they dug themselves into became a bit too deep.
I would not have been at all surprised.
Now, if she couldn't marry him because she is in fact the Joker's mother, that'd be a surprise, but then written out of continuity as being a Bat-Mite creation or something.
