COLOSSAL RETALIATION: SYMBIOTE SPAWN: FREE: If no other Colossal Retaliation power has been activated this turn, choose an opposing character that attacked Carnage or damaged a friendly character since your last turn. Place Carnage such that he can make a close attack targeting the chosen character, then do so. After resolutions, you may generate a Symbiote bystander adjacent to the chosen character.

REPLACING CHARACTERS
Certain effects allow a character (“replaced” character) on your force to be replaced with one or more characters (“replacement” character) from your Sideline. These effects always use the word “replace.” When creating your Sideline, you identify these replacement characters for a specifi c replacement effect, and they can’t be referenced or used by other effects
When an effect causes a character to be replaced:
• Action tokens on the replaced character are assigned to the replacement character. If the replacement effect caused an action token to be given, the replacement character is considered to have received the action token and may be dealt pushing damage (if applicable).
• If the replaced character was given a costed action this turn, then the replacement character is considered to have already been given a costed action this turn.
• If the replaced character was carried this turn, the replacement character is considered to have been carried this turn.
• Only the above three effects “carry over”. No other effects of any kind that applied to the replaced character start applying to the replacement character.
If Uni-Mind damage a friendly character on his turn, and on my turn replaces himself with other characters. Would I be able to trigger Carnage's COLOSSAL RETALIATION against those replacement characters? Would Carnage still recognize those replacement characters as Uni-Mind/attacker who "damaged a friendly character since your last turn"?
"Only the above effects "carry over"..." I'd say no there.
Concur. This seems pretty cut and dried to me. At the end of the day, it is a different physical figure. The rules would say otherwise if they wanted it to work that way I suppose, the new figure would just be treated as the old figure.
You have to believe me, I complain a lot online that means I'm always right.
