Does anyone here read the Bombshells book or would know much about the Batwoman from that series? I'm contemplating getting 10 Bombshell Batwoman figs when the Harley set drops to make a 600-point "League of their Own" team (9 for the side plus a manager).
I know the card on the fig has Katherine Kane as the Real Name but was the character actually part of a women's baseball team?
So I took Friday off so I could set up for my church's fall festival. I was playing in the band, and so I helped set-up the stage. It was a good night. About 3000 people showed up. I got to play Enter Sandman while dressed as Bat-Man, so I had a blast. Afterwards I was hungry, so I hit Sonic for a cheeseburger on the way home.
The plan was for my wife and I to go to this dive bar to see a band my friend told me about. My wife wasn't up to it, so I hung out with her for a little bit, and then I went.
It was surf rock night at the Double Down saloon, and when I got there I ordered a bacon martini. Quite possibly the most disgusting drink I ever drank. I still get queasy thinking about it. The first couple of bands was pretty good, and the band I was there to see was really good. Messer Chups. Both before and after the show I got to talk with their bassist. She had a sexy Russian accent. Here's one of the pics. https://i.imgur.com/oYmLsNo.jpg
So afterwards, I go to a solid local pizza place, get a couple of slices, eat them, then head home. I think I'll get in a couple of games of Overwatch before I go to bed, so I turn on my X-Box. Then I suddenly needed to drop turds. While going to the bathroom, my stomach really started to hurt. Then I get out of the bathroom, and both my stomach and back hurt. I keep going in and out of the bathroom as the turds are rolling out of me.
About an hour later, and my progress is rolling around on the floor in pain and occasionally running to the bathroom to poop. Then suddenly...volcano puke. I tried to make it to the bathroom, I ran like the wind, but I pretty much coated all of the door and the floor. My pizza toppings were everywhere. And the pain still didn't go away. After this, I still felt like I needed to poop, but nothing would come out.
So that went on all night. I didn't get any sleep, and I was a wreck. Saturday morning I finally get my wife up, and we start talking about what it might be. We theorized that my lower back was sore because I must have hurt it setting up the stage (after telling everyone there to lift with their legs), and then the combo of bacon martini plus pizza must have been bad. I took a couple of tylenol, and tried to finally get some sleep.
The pain wasn't as bad, but it was still persistent, and so I was in that never able to get comfortable phase. I napped, but never really slept. Sunday came, and my wife suggested I take a hot bath. I didn't think that would do any good, but it was worth a shot. So after soaking in some hot water for awhile, the pain in my back actually went away, and lessened in my stomach. I was able to get some sleep! About 5 hours. It was a miracle. When I woke up later that day, my pain was still there, but I felt refreshed. That night I soaked again, and went to bed. Again, I only got about 5 hours of sleep before the pain woke me up.
So Monday hits, and I'm not going to work. Since I'm not going to work, I'm going to the doctor. That visit goes like...dr in south part of Vegas says there's blood in your piss and my creatinine levels are outrageous. She sends me to the north part of Vegas to get a CAT scan. The dr. there says, "why are you here? if your creatinine levels are this high, you should be in a hospital." I get the scan anyway. Results, I have a kidney stone that is blocking my left kidney and ####ing up my life. I get sent to the hospital (which is right next to where I was in the south of Vegas).
So I go to the emergency room to check in. Turns our, the dr. tried to check me in, but the hospital is full. They have to hold me in the ER until a room becomes available. They hook me up to an IV, and I get to listen to all the crazy ER stuff going on. Then about 3am they move me to a "quieter" part of the ER. It would have been quieter, but sadly there was a mentally disable person in the next room who was just moaning like a sheep all night. I felt bad for them, but I could not rest. I had the TV on in my room playing a Dr. Phil marathon to try to cover up the sound.
Tuesday, Halloween, my favorite holiday of the year. I finally get put into a real room around 1pm. The rest is boring. At some point the stone passed, I got hydrated, and all the pain went away. I went home yesterday afternoon.
