GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT: Once per turn, Green Lantern can use Barrier. He can use it as a free action, but only to place 1 Barrier marker. When he uses Barrier, he may substitute one Barrier marker that he would place with the Light Wall Marker and place it in a character's square within range, positioning one side along an edge; this marker acts as a wall. If you place the Light Wall Marker, it is removed at the beginning of your next turn. UNIQUE MODIFIER - Opposing characters adjacent to any of his Light Wall or Barrier markers can't use Stealth and modify their defense values by -1.
Can the Light Wall marker be placed in a square of hindering terrain if the chosen character is in it?
The ClixFX Marker placed in a characters square still follows the other barrier placement restrictions.

Reason: added barrier description
If it follows the same rules as barrier markers and needs to be placed into a clear square, how can the marker be placed in the square occupied by a figure?
Is it because occupying hindering terrain isn't mentioned in the power but putting it in a character's square is?
Green Lantern's Light allows the ClixFX Marker to be placed in a characters square. Aside from that the marker needs to follow the barrier placement restrictions
If he uses it to place a barrier marker it has to follow the rules of the barrier power, but if he places the clixFX marker it can be place in any square occupied by a character, within range and following the barrier "one marker must be in line of fire." verbiage.

It also must still be in clear terrain, as Velcade said. There have been several threads discussing it here, though the old ruling on the WIN is gone. Nothing has changed in the rules that would affect this, however.
