You're 100% right. But old man logan (the convention one) has the x-men keyword while there was none in the story. Just because. He was one once. So he is still, it's not like he quit the team or something, they're all just dead. But talking about gambit it is one I can't wait to see in this set! The WaX one is a bit overdue. Hope for a chase gambit that would be awesome! No real chances for that but at least a super rare.

There were Marauders in the AoA, but they were a gang of freelance human villains like Arcade and the Owl who worked for Apocalypse to be on the winning side. No affiliation with Sinister. So it makes sense that this Sinister doesn't have the keyword.
I don't really mind him not having Indom at his start. If I pack a cool Sinister AoA chase piece, I feel ok paying the extra points at home games for Nul's Hammer :)
One of the cool tricks he can perform is being one of the very few figures under the new rules who can reposition before rolling for Leadership. Is that worth 100pts? Maybe. I guess if you time it out so he's doing that on the turns he'd be clearing tokens anyway, it might make him more useful on those turns. And gives a good reason not to push to his outwit clicks.
his one special power is more miss than hit in my book. i would like it so much better at the back end of his dial with regen so he could slink away to heal up rather than slink up to do... maybe nothing? especially given leadership on his opening click. it's nice he can zoop up to people to leadership, but i feel like it's too big a risk for a 1/3 chance to remove a token and the downside of not being able to attack with a pricey figure on it's decent attack click. a
t least on the outwit click he can get some more solid support going with it, but that's coupled with his attack/def both dropping. which raises the next big problem; after 1 solid hit his stats are mediocre and his dial is pretty short. both negatives considering what 100 points in this set alone can get you.
Traited shape change is a plus but in all honesty i just do not see myself ever using this guy over the UXM SR short of an AoA theme team. and even there i feel like his point investment is pricey.
Being able to run up and equip a special object a team mate is adjacent to, OR calling in an ID character is nice also IMO. And it sents ya up nicely when you use leadership too.
