I think I am correct in thinking you cannot outwit stop clicks? How does it interact with psychic blast or exploit weakness eg. against Brainiac's 'super impervious'
(Special) Impossible to Plan Against: Opposing forces subtract one from their action total if not reduced by any other effect.
(Speed) My Ship And I Are One: Give Brainiac a double power action and place him in any square within his speed value. After actions resolve, you may give Brainiac a close combat or ranged combat action as a free action.
(Defense) I'll Show You Impervious: Brainiac can use Impervious. When turning the dial, if this click is revealed due to damage taken from an opponent's attack, stop turning the dial. This power cannot be countered or ignored.
(Damage) Master Manipulator: Brainiac can use Perplex. When he does, he can only target friendly characters and they can be anywhere on the map.
First point:
Brainiac power is stopclix-like rather then A STOPclix, since it doesn't include STOP.
Through that largly academical since it still can't countered (Protect: Outwit in the 2017 rules) and ignored (Protect: Pulsewave in the 2017 rules).
However there are powers that stop you from clixing the dial that have not such protection, while STOPclix are protected by STOP.
On to question:
There's nothing in Brainiacs I'll Show You Impervious that would allow him to reduce penetraing damage, so he will be take damage from P/PB and EW.
However when is clixed on another clix with I'll Show You Impervious you will still stop clixing per the powers description.
no worries, this game is sometimes very fiddly with the language used.
and the player base started calling those "stop clicks" long before WK adopted similar, but not identical, language. Their's is in all caps - STOP, and is a game-defined term.
Some old stop clicks (our words) say can't be ignored, others don't say that. There was quite a bit of inconsistency.
The new STOP click as a defined term always says can't be ignored. So at least it's more consistent now.
but still confusing when playing older figures and some says "oh, he has a stop click", and you have to stop and think is it a "stop click" or a "STOP click"?
