A recent thread about Metropolis themed teams made me look and find some of the themiest Metropolis teams I have created. Here is one of my favorites since the SMWW set dropped. I like the Daily Planet theme so much, I thought it deserved its own thread!

Daily Planet (all with Metropolis keyword)

This team can feature all the clixed employees of the Daily Planet (and the 'guardian" of the Newsboy Legion.)

Running it on the Daily Planet map from the SMWW set is a no-brainer :-).

To make the team with the most theme at 200 pts, add:




The above Clark Kent can become Superman (token) on occasion. However, the token doesn't maximize the "other character named Superman" powers that Jimmy and Lois have, so here are a couple themey Kent pieces with the name Superman:



The above Superman can be run with Perry, Jimmy, and Lois to make a 295 pt team.

You can instead use this great Kent transforming sculpt--

along with

with the core 3 Planet employees to make a 296 point team.

To get everyone in the mix, add the newspaper delivery boys and their Guardian.





You can use multiples of the Newsboy Legion and/or Investigative Reporter to get a greatly themed Daily Planet team at any range from 300 to 500 points, as an actual keyord theme team with Metropolis.

If you wanted to maximize competitiveness while still staying true to theme, you could run a non-Clark themed Superman like Shifting Focus Supes or one of the powerhouse men of steel to represent a post-transformation Clark :-).

For added fun, you could run

to play out Titano's adventures around the Daily Planet building.
