Happy Monday Clix Fans! Our friends over at Eternal games our starting our week with another preview for Secret Wars: Battleworld. Today we'll be getting a look at rare Spiderling, Super-Rare Thanos, and Chase Namor
Great to see an effort to respond to Colossal Retaliation with Anna-May. Would have been better in an earlier set where there were lots of Retaliators (even if a few show up in Battleworld), but still nice to see.
Now if only they created some effective and well-costed answers to IDs and Eternity/Infinity teams.
Spiderling - add to my wants list. Yay, 4 figures!
That is a solid, straight-forward Thanos. If I wanted to field the character, he'd probably be my choice.
I saw that Namor dial and the cost and was super-excited. Then I saw his Special Movement was a taxi - and I'm a lot less interested. Pull him, I'd probably keep him but trading / buying? Nope.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Yeah, I know I am very late arriving at this opinion, but I loathe colossal retaliators. I don't care about violating theme - I will be playing Spiderling on every team I play for at least the next year.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Namor is impressive, especially for the cost. Like the Thanos, but I was hoping for an Infinity Watch keyword and a "Reality Gem Chooses Its Bearer" trait
I am excited to get Renew Your Vows spider family!!! I have ignored all things Spiderman until they made that series after they went off the rails separating MJ and Peter and all the nonsense afterword. I can't wait to see Spinnerette and the rest of this set!
"zathras is finite, time is infinite, this is wrong tool."
Good sculpt and should be able to do work in sealed, but I wish the movement special power was late dial. It would be a very fun consideration to make late game about whether to phase away the full distance or go half way to be more likely to get an attack in while you run away. It would really make the most out of that 8 range, too.
As it stands, I think it would be a stupid risk to try for a 17 square swing early game with your 200pt figure. So practically speaking, I think the power will just resemble phase + running shot, which loses some of the flavor.

Yeah he will wreck in sealed
Most often I expect he's going to move short range for a guaranteed free attack and then take advantage of the fact he's and that the free action attack can occur at any point at the turn. Phase->Carry->Attack similar like OP kit Doc Ock.

yeah..that namor is kinda a let down. i get it, but i don't like it at all. he'll walk in and get it past all cool stuff. thank god we have sf dr. strange to help him heal after getting hit.
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
That trait on Anna-May (Anime? Really?) would have been better for Avengers Infinity sealed, yeah. And speaking of Sealed at the other end of the scale, that Thanos could be a pull-your-win piece in this set. Sheesh.
Nice Namor, though. Offers something a little different from the usual, which I always appreciate. Atlantis has a lot to offer in a keyword that's mostly just two characters, lol.
I agree, Thanos will rock in SW sealed, but will not be too impressive in constructed without guaranteed move-and-attack, especially without Penetrating/Psy Blast top-dial at 200-pts.
Anna-May will be a deterrent to Colossal Retaliation, but I wish the effect were a fixed 6-square radius rather than her Range of 4. I can also see some creative use of Perplex to further reduce her Range and provide a broader window for CR.
Should probably just have that Namor carry Thanos around so he can give him those action tokens from the leadership and heal Thanos as he carries him. That colossal stamina sure will help.

The usual?
2 Namors in 3 years and 3 Namors in 5 years does not a "usual" make...
