Is it wrong that I'm hoping she gets to sing? Like, an Alanis song would be perfect. You don't get more '90s establishing shot than a track from Jagged Little Pill. Or maybe Belly...

I'm still not sold on Brie as Captain Marvel... her voice.. i dunno, it's like she's not sure of herself or something. Maybe it's the particular scene (unsure because i'm having memories i don't understand), but i dunno. She wouldn't have ever been my first choice for her. Still looks pretty interesting.

I'm cautiously optimistic because I've been all about this movie since it was announced.

Here's my unfounded theory: She's going to be the equivalent of Richard Rider Nova+Worldmind, but from the Kree.

I could be totally wrong, but they're saying she's going to be the most powerful character yet, and that would certainly put her clear in front.

MCU Carol Danvers has a 1000-yard stare for a reason. Between being abducted by aliens, having her memory altered and turned into a living weapon, she has seen some @#$%!

I think so far she looks like a bi dimentional character because it looks like she dont have a past..

And I said All this because she looks like she dont have anything on her behind.

There is no way to tell the full depth of a character from a teaser trailer. And honestly, I think it's kinda crazy that guys seem to expect that we should see the full depth of Carol's personality in this tiny little teaser. We don't demand this of other heroes, so why Carol?

Carlos, did you... actually watch the trailer? It goes into her past quite a bit in flashbacks, but she doesn't remember it. Like, oh, as if an alien society wiped her mind to turn her into a weapon or something against their ancient enemies.

Just speculating, but considering Carol historically had an issue with her memories (thanks Rogue!) this is a good way to include that in an X-Men-less (for now) universe.

The same reason she's being criticized for not smiling enough in her trailer, whereas the guys in previous Marvel trailers don't smile at all.
