Day 81: Dusk; In the Deep South, on a replicated Earth in an alternate reality.

The King of the Dead and all his soldiers were brought back in their undead state. Now they knew instinctively that only the destruction of Sauron and his ring would return them to everlasting peace. But they could not simply attack Sauron, they would have to be summoned by either Isildur or his descendants into battle.

Until then they were forced to lurk in the Appalachian mountains.

Sauron found that his forces were reinforced by the Haradrim, adding to his strength.

Aragorn was joined by Soldiers of Gondor and he was acknowledged as their king even though they were nowhere near Gondor. The soldiers rallied behind Aragorn and agreed to keep watch on Saruman and his Uruk-Hai in case they gave in to their baser desires and begin terrorizing the countryside.

As it was dusk now the sun was setting and Morbius began to stir. The moon was already out and John Jameson began his transformation to the Man-Wolf thanks to the star gem embedded in his throat.

Morbius awoke to find that he and Man-Wolf were no longer alone. He immediately noticed Spider-Man but he was unfamiliar with almost everyone else.

Everyone else consisted of the Warriors Three, the Lady Sif and Batman. He had met the Vampire Batman once at the Oblivion Bar but he had never met the version that had not been turned.

Man-Wolf sidled beside him because at this point Morbius had control of the Man-Wolf's actions,

He soon spotted that the Lizard and some sort of human bat were trussed up in restraints behind the newcomers.

Morbius was smart enough to know he was outnumbered and asked Spider-Man what was going on. Spider-Man gave him a run down of what he knew and asked why he and Man-Wolf were here. Morbius explained that he and Man-Wolf had been transferred here in support of Ghost Rider but G.R. and his enemies had disappeared leaving them behind.

Spider-man suggested that Morbius forget their differences and join them while they tried to find their way back to civilization. The Warriors Three still advocated for the destruction of Morbius and the Man-Wolf but Spider-Man and Batman would have none of that.

Grima Wormtongue wanted to be alone but none of the Hobbits trusted him and insisted that someone keep a wary on him.

Grima Wormtongue went out for a walk and Merry and Pippin went out to follow him discreetly.

Sam Gamgee insisted on keeping a close eye on Sméagol because his past experiences with Gollum left him to have no trust for someone who had the potential to eventually become Gollum.

Grima Wormtongue began exploring the Village of Hommlett and was drawn to a temple that he learned was the church of St. Cuthbert.

He entered and was eventually met by the priest that managed the church of St. Cuthbert.

The priest listened to Grima Wormtongue's story and told Grima Wormtongue that salvation lay in converting to the faith of St. Cuthbert.

Grima Wormtongue had no idea what else to do and the priest; pleased that he had another convert left to get some ceremonial items he would use to accept Grima Wormtongue to his church.

While the priest was gone, Immortus used the opportunity to send Grima back to the past and to this reality's version of Middle Earth.

The priest returned to find his new parishioner gone.

Merry and Pippin waited outside the church but Grima Wormtongue never came back out. Eventually the priest of the church came out and snuffed out the outdoor torches that indicated the church was open and retired.

This left the two hobbits scratching their heads. Was Grima Wormtongue staying with the Priest in his temple?

The Giant Eagles were the next to be sent to the past and their own world of Middle Earth. Immortus did the same with all the Ents and then the Mumakil.

Next, Immortus took Gollum back to the past along with the One Ring. He secreted Gollum in his old haunts where Bilbo Baggins first found him so many years ago.

Théoden, Eomer and Eowyn were next to be sent back in time along with the Riders of Rohan.

Théoden and his adopted children found themselves comfortably back in their homes they had known for most of their lives.

Next, Immortus transported the King of the Dead and his soldiers to their haunts in Middle Earth to wait for Aragorn or Isildur to call on them to rally against Sauron.

Immortus began methodically returning all of Sauron's allies back in time to the era of Middle Earth. Eventually this even included Sauron. This left no reason for the involvement of the greater powers such as Loki and the Queen of Fables to remain.

Darkseid reclaimed his parademons but some of the Frost Giants and the rock trolls seemed to have been sent to the past to continue to serve Sauron.

Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White sized each other up. It was disconcerting at first but each Gandalf was made of stern stuff and they were able to accept the idea that there could be two of them. But as they sized each other up, Immortus sent Gandalf the White back in time to this reality's Middle Earth. It left the other members of the Fellowship confused.

Celeborn and Galadriel were sent back to the past also to resume their rule and so were all their subjects. All of the Middle Earth elves returned to the world they knew best.
