Multiple Man duplication and “would be KO’d”-resurrections
My question concerns these two characters:
(The inlinedial above is displayed incorrectly after click 6. Click 1-6 are correct, but click 7 should be a KO-click)
To hopefully make my question easy to understand, I’ll set up a specific scenario:
Multiple Man (75 pts.) and Eternity are on the same force, and Multiple Man is on click 5.
An opposing character hits Multiple Man with an attack and deals him 4 damage. Multiple Man’s dial is clicked twice, and a KO-click shows up. He is about to be KO’d.
Eternity’s trait “You can’t kill the abstract - Eternity” triggers, and I choose to use it. I roll a 6, and Multiple Man is instead turned to his last non-KO click, which is click 6.
My question is this:
Does Multiple Man’s special attack power “Dupe Creation” trigger at this point?
If yes, how many “duplicates” are generated?
According to damage taken (my guess): 4
According to damage clicked: 2
According to difference in click number (unlikely): 1
Dupe Creation's wording doesn't exactly fit well in the current rules (it's technically not even written as a trigger). It would have to check after damage is clicked, but before KO is checked, and therefore before Eternity's effect triggers. So no, as written, it doesn't work.
Odds are an effect like this designed under the current rules would be an after resolutions trigger.

Thanks for the response. That makes sense.
I just wanted to be sure how it worked.
Even without that, I still think these two would be fun to play together, considering all the duplicates you would get a chance to resurrect.
