Hi guys. I'm entirely new to Dice Masters. I've sort of skimmed around it. Obviously, as I'm here, I collect heroclix and the site I buy from has clix tied in with Dice Masters. So I'm aware of the pricing and the set themes.
But I don't know much about the game itself. I'll come out and say it. I am autistic. That's doubly why I collect heroclix only [it's my "special interest" aka obsession] and I don't play [because of the inability to socialise]. So I was just wondering if this game was the sort of thing you could solo play? Or if that's not at all possible?
I'll be honest, I don't solo play Heroclix either, I literally just love lining them up and organising and reorganising. While the dice have less of an appeal for organising and sorting, this is prime autistic pickings, as it were. A pointless shiny collection to have. I mean, I have hundreds of d20s and I don't play D&D. I like collecting.
So, basically, in this long ramble, I'm just curious if I should just drop the few dollars on a handful of the cheapest so that I can have a bowl of fancy useless dice - or if it's something I could have fun with as a game and to dive into a campaign box or starter set or something.
Thank you for your time reading my nonsense, any help is very much appreciated.
It is certainly possible to solo Dice Masters. It is not as great as player vs player but I still have fun with it.
If you are familiar with Boardgamegeek.com you can download solo rules from the following page (see link below) https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/1...s-solitaire-10
I find it a great way to play DM solo. Mind you, some cards/dice (mainly some basic actions) are less suited for solo play but the more you play the more you will notice which cards are less ideal in solo play.
Dice Masters is a pretty good game to solo since there is no information you need to hide from your opponent. It's easy to play two teams against each other. I never got deep into collecting, but I think the game is fun. Sorting the dice into the collector boxes that WizKids makes is very satisfying.
