A location I've always meant to, but never quite gotten too, is the rooftop of a skyscrapper for a villain to make their daring escape via helicopter, or a hero to plummet to their potential doom(?)
So given a lull in my art schedule, here we go.
Hoping this will prove to be a pretty quick and easy one to do.
First progress... which doesn't look like a lot, but this was key. After fusing around the look of the tower a bit too much, I realized the map really should be focused on the rooftop space for play, and not waste more than a square border on the scenery surrounding the battle site.
I will be doing some proper orange rules for the edge of the map squares to punish anyone who falls off.
Done... though this is the rough copy. The high res version will be a little more tweaked (specifically the street/ground level edge is darker to highlight the rooftop more)
Looks great! What wording did you end up using for the orange squares?
Thanks
I never formally codify my special terrain... partially as I'm sure I'd get the wording wrong AND my stuff will never be official. Why worry about trying to pretend to make it official. I leave it up to others and their opponents to properly codify it for themselves.
Though for this one, I have a stronger opinion. I'd go with something vaguely like:
Quote
Deal any character ending a turn in an orange square
2 penetrating damage, and return them to an adjacent non-orange square.
Reduce this damage by 1 if they possess leap climb, ignore elevation, plasticity, or shape change
Reduce this damage by 2, but give the character up to 2 action tokens (no pushing damage) if they possess flight.
