There's nothing complex about this deck. It's a beatdown deck that relies on field control using monsters, spells and traps. Forceful Sentry and Confiscation provide a small amount of hand disruption. I'm thinking about taking them out, but I cant decide on what should be put in for them. The possible presence of Time Seal and Magic Drain in the side deck would also allow me to add more of a hand disruption aspect to this deck between duels.
I've tried to make it more Beast than Manticore, which is why I'm not using cards like Reload or Card Destruciton. Manticore is good for this deck, but cards that are present for the sole purpose of getting him out faster tend to be dead weight too often.
I'm still trying to figure out what cards should go in the side deck. The possibilities I've listed above are what i'm thinking about at the moment. Comments on those cards, or others that i've overlooked are welcome.
Thanks for taking a look at my deck. Any thoughts will be appreciated, and if you leave a link, i'll return the favor.
WOW, first to reply! But no one has replide yet? Thats sad  Neways, this deck actually looks pretty solid and I cant think of any fixes here. Neways, I hope this deck brings you succes, and that someone more qualified than I will come along and fix this for you!
That would be me. Regardless of the fact that it has the possibility of backfiring, Tribe-Infecting Virus and Sinister Serpent are a must in this deck as they can clear the field setting up the rush that is necessary for victory in a Beast Deck. So knock out the Mad Dogs for Tribe and Sinister. Next, while King Tiger Wanghu is a good card, it is somewhat situational and won't be much use against many different types of decks. It should be reserved for the side board. In its place, I would suggest 2 Gigantes. Next, there is the issue of Manticores. Manticores can be helpful but they will slowly eat away at your hand and field advantage. A smart duelist will play conservatively against Manticores and wait for you to kill your own chances of winning. Take them out for a Jinzo and either a Giant Rat or (a nice tech card) Dark Driceratops. Spell board looks decent so I will leave that alone. As far as goes the trap board, knock out the Compulsory Evacuation Devices. They are a good way of throwing hand advantage over to your opponent and you do not want to do that. I would suggest replacing them with Bottomless Trap Holes which will be quite effective in this kind of deck.
Tribe is actually a card that I've been considering, partly to use with Manticore. If I were to put in Tribe and Sinister, what would you think about replacing the Compulsory's with Raigeki Breaks? Sinister would make them costless, and I could use them on my opponents turn and discard a Manticore so I can special summon it before my next turn begins.
And if you hadnt guessed, I'm a little partial to the Manticores. I'm trying to make this a focused Beast deck. Gigantes and Driceratops would be more suited for an Earth themed deck, and i'm not interested in moving in that direction just yet.
At the very least, Jinzo will be a possiblity for my side deck. I'm thinking about maindecking a Pitch Black Warwolf or two for some trap disruption.
I've made some changes to both the main and side decks above. Additional comments are welcome. If several people out there can convince me to take the Manticores out, i'm willing to listen.
