This is my own Greed deck, which I just took apart for another project. It served me pretty well, averaging anywhere between 6000-12000 damage in a turn*. Those turns might take a little set up though. Thats why Im posting this. Im looking for ways to speed up the search for key cards in this deck.
*highest damage Ive ever done, that I remember, was about 18,000

**I did get some good ideas from looking at Den Frenzy's Greed deck. So, if you are looking DF, I already took notes :p
Don't forget to Add Bistro Butchers to this deck. If you really want to ulitlze a powerful Greed Deck, then why don't you add a Sasuke #3. They'll lose up to 3500 from one attack.
Also you can try by mixing Magical Thorn (If you can get it) Play Card Destruction when your opponent has 5 cards in hand and he loses 2500. He draws 5 cards and loses 2500. Total 5000.
woops! That was supposed to say Sasuke Samurai #3. I forgot the #3 part. Ill go back and edit it in a second.
As For Bistro: Ive wavered on it. It was part of the original design, but I never really attacked. I face a lot of Beaters among my friends and such, so the 1800 wasnt really cutting it. I finally decided to cut it when I added Gravity Bind. GB is now gone too, but the Butcher just stayed sidelined.
magical Thorns will be a shoe in, should I ever get one. what do you suggest I sub out for it?

look at that, i manages to get it down to 40, the main thing i would do w/this deck is triple up on night assailant and also raigeki break, besides that everything else is just a stern suggestion, LOL
Looks pretty good Squid. I wish Cyber Jar worked with Greed, that'd be a nice easy addition to my deck. Though the speed it still offers might not be bad. I'll have to consider adding one of those.
Pharaoh's Treasure is an interesting addition, one I hadn't thought of before, and Desert Sunlight is another card I may need to add to my build.
The only thing you have in this deck that I'm not convinced you really need is Fake Trap. I mean I understand it's use, however if Greed gets destroyed you have plenty of ways of either grabbing another copy from your deck or graveyard. You might be better served throwing something else in this slot.
I don't really want to make any suggestions on additions, you've already seen the deck that I'm working on so you have a pretty good idea what I'd throw out for ideas.
I need to get some Magical Thorns too. Maybe we can pool our wealth and buy one.
Den Frenzy-
Fake Trap is.....paranoia. Ive only used it once. In fact, that would probably be a good choice for a Magical Thorn replacement.
Cards like Desert Sunlight are leftovers from when this was a Deck out, believe it or not. Greed was harder to pull off, which is why I liked it originally. Though, now Ive gotten more wins with Greed than I had with the Deck out.
Des-
well, those Koalas? I ...kinda....traded em all ayay. *D'oH!!* Though I agree that it would work well in this.. Check out Den Frenzy's Greed build for that.
Ovados-
not a bad suggestion, though I kind of hate to give up Pharoah's Treasure yet. I so rarely see it. Plus, the effect does come in handy. Ive probably used PT more often than Fake Trap. lol. Thats scary.
Twelfth-
Dang!! Why didnt I see that????? I must have had some synapse misfire. Especially considering that Shallow Grave was in the deck when it was a deckout.
Juvenile-
Painful Choice was something I suggested to Den Frenzy in his thread. Only reason I didnt use it in mine was that I only was using 1 NA. Your version looks fun and interesting. I might give it a try. thanks for leaving Magical Merchant in there. That card was a gem when it came to finding my traps.
honestly, the only thing I dont care for is solemn Judgement. I tried 2 of em before. But, I found that with greed being the 2 edged sword it is, that I would have a hard time recovering from giving up 1/2 my LP. In a lot of decks I like SJ. In this one, no.
thanks to all for the suggestions. Ive made notes on all of it and feel pretty confident about it when I pick it up again to duel.
oh yeah i fogot about that, wlell curse of royal is another good choice, and is better then fake trap right, it negates heavy storm, MST, mobius, beaker, and some other im sure
ooHH! Now see, that one I like. Curse of Royal just went to the top of the list for cards to put in. Even over Thorns and Shallow Grave. Thanks for that idea! Now I feel like this thread has all been worth it.
You can only activate "Curse of Royal" as a chain to a Spell or Trap Card that would destroy 1 (and ONLY 1) Spell or Trap Card.
You can use Curse of Royal against cards like "Magic Jammer", "Seven Tools of the Bandit", "Solemn Judgment", "Curse of Royal", "Mystical Space Typhoon", "Dust Tornado", "Magic Drain", "Riryoku Field", "Judgment of Anubis", etc.
You cannot use "Curse of Royal" against "Heavy Storm" or "Harpie's Feather Duster".

I suppose you see my point. Oh, and I corrected some spelling errors while I was at it. *whistles*
[edit] Juvenile - it's not so much about you mispelling two words, w/e. There's a hidden point to that...can you see it... :D
While HS maybe be exempt from Curse of Royal's effect, CoR does take care of a lot of those single s/t removal effects that worry me when using a continuous trap like Greed. the only other cards besides HS that I ever run (on a wide basis) into are Breaker and Mobius. neither of those are easy to get cards here :p
Um, I guess inferrence is not quite good enough... ;__;
Basically, the only commonly used cards that Curse of Royal will affect are Raigeki Break, Dust Tornado, and MST. Curse of Royal does not negate Breaker or Mobius.
I cited the spelling errors in juvenile's post as a way of saying "be sure to check your information."
