Deck Summary; As many of you know I love beatdown decks, so I made this Gorilla deck. The purpose of this deck is to win [obviously] by attacking directly 4 times with Gorilla. To reach your goal you have to protect and destroy the cards that are in his way so he [Berserk Gorilla] can attack directly. Enraged Battle Ox and Cannon Soldier are new to me I’ve decided to test them out and they worked out fine. The reason why I’ve added Enraged Battle Ox is because so many people told me to put this card in when I posted my Gorilla deck before. I tried him out by himself and worked out ok, but when I added another one I saw it’s great potential. Not only does this monster have a trample effect for himself, but he gives a trample effect to my Gorillas and a monster with a 2000 attack w/trample is dangerous. Another monster I’ve chosen to be part of this deck is Cannon Soldier. I read an article about this card on another site and I tested him out in this deck. To my surprise this card won me games. On the spells I decided to go offensive and added a couple of Enemy Controllers instead of Book of Moon. Although the Book of Moon is among my favorite spell cards, I knew it wouldn’t work here as it did with other decks I’ve made in the past. Enemy Controller allows me to offer my own monster to gain his or hers for the turn. Or this card can help me to switch the position his/her monster to defense mode so I can use the trample from my Ox/Gorilla to attack and take away more life points. 3 Scapegoats help me pay for the EC effect and the help me with the Cannon Soldier effect. I love running this card in threes so please so suggest me to take one out. Moving on to the traps. I’m sure Torrential Tribute, Ring of Destruction, and Call of the Haunted are self-explanatory so I won’t go to deep with those cards. The reason why I have 3 Sakuretsu Armors is so I can max out on monster removal. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to post them and I will answer them as soon as possible. Thank you for reading.
Kool to see some other people runnign stuff like this.
-Exiled Force
-Jinzo
-Spirit Reaper
+D.D. Warrior Lady
+D.D. Assailant
+Fiber Jar
That' just me, personaly. More removal, and Fiber Jar is awesome.
-The Forceful Sentry
-Card Destruction
-Swords of Revaling Light
+Creature Swap
+Creature Swap
+Painful Choice
This looks like it's better. Forceful by itself is meh, and Card Destruction is meh. Swords is too much stall, especially for Gorilla
Swaps rule. Straight up. Painful...I'll take it as it was a typo =P
-Sakuretsu Armor
-Sakuretsu Armor
+Bottomless Trap Hole
+Bottomless Trap Hole
Go with that. A single Sak instead of the Cylinder I would normally sugget. Bottomless just...work better.
OVERALL: Cannon AND Enraged both win games by themselves. Giving Berserk the ability to do it faster? Priceless.
lilly_dude ~ Thanks dude for the fixes. I guess you went with your personal favorites right? I love your fixes, but I'm against most of them. Mainly because of this.
You think BTH>Sak ...... DDWL>Exiled
while I think Sak>BTH ...... Exiled>DDWL
And we both have our reasons why. A fix I will follow is taking out CD and TFS for a couple of Creature Swap. Thanks again for the fixes.
TwelfthFaucet ~ Sorry bro, but let me explain. I was about to quit yugioh, since not many people went to the store I went to. So, I decided to go to my last regionals with a fire deck. After days after I completed my fire deck I found another store to go to. So I decided to continue playing. I'm still going to regionals with my fire deck, but the Gorilla deck is the 2nd deck I've made in yugioh. First I played dragons for 2 years, then I made a Gorilla deck with pyrofire14's help and from there I've made a good amount of decks. This is why I decided to rebuild this deck. If you don't believe me I understand, I just wanted to let you know.
I like your fixes, but I already decided to go with lilly's fixes. Also, thanks for the rating.
NintendoMan ~ I also love the Cold Wave, but I'll be testing Creature Swap for now. Thanks for the post and for the comments ^^.
Yep lillydude we have our favorites. We could both discuss this for days, each giving good points about each card, but in the end it will come down to personal favorites. *in a girl voice* Just leave me alone, leave me alone! *runs off to the room and shuts the door. Then jumps to the bed and starts to laugh....I mean cry* just kidding. Anyway we have our favorites ^^.
this deck looks really great
although i dont like jinzo or sakuretsu armor
so replace them with airknight and cedevice
other than that this deck is very solid
Well, Exiled Force does insure the kill, D.D well it may cost lp *Imagines D.D warrior Lady run into Blue eyes* yup, i really rather avoid that scenario, 1500 lp and waste the summon, its bad. Wasting the summon is bad, but no need ot make it worse.
Then again..... D.D warrior Lady puts the monster out of play while exiled doesnt *Imagines a player grinning after they just exiled a jinzo, and feeling free to play their traps, then comes Call of The Haunted, with Jinzo* Priceless..., Well, thats how it works.
At the end it comes out to this......
RFG removal, with some cost of lp, or just simple removal
P.S. You could just put D.D in defence, and wait till he attacks, but with nobleman its just too risky, not ot mention he can play another monster to battle it.
Hmm.... DDWL and DDA x3 of each rox my sox in aggro-ish decks. Berserker Control is practically the same, so why not?
-1 Raper
-1 Airknight/Jinzo
I know the last one's a doozy... I'd side the Jinzo, in the end. When I did that after lilly_dude's fixes on my aggro, I md'd some Dusts... they should be okay here. 2x Dust and 2x Sak. Just go:
11Broc ~ That's a good fix, but I like how I have the deck right now. I did consider CED before, I even used it in 3's, but I'm still testing the Armors for now.
Xav ~ Exactly. Those are just some of the reasons why I prefer Exiled>DDWL although I still use DDWL.
LK89 ~ Once again you have helped me and gave me good advice. I absolutely agree with what you said, but 3 DDA is just not my thing. I will also test the Dust Tornadoes and I will post the results. I'll post the side deck in a while. Thanks again.
LJ8 thanks for the help, but you really didn't explain how that would help. Plus my Cannon Soldier rox. Anyway I appreciate your help. Does anyone else have more suggestions?
Thanks, but I think I'll keep Sakuretsu Armors. This card has worked well and could destroy Mystic Tomatoes, IFL, Marauding Captain, Shining Angel, Exiled Force, the list goes on. Anyway thanks for the help.
