Oh wow, you are completely right, I totally missed the obvious Scapegoat/Big March of the Animals combo. That's pure genius right there, I'll definately add in a Scapegoat to this deck to help pull that off.
I'm not too worried about removing monsters from play, I'm actually counting on it, that's why I added a Dimension Fusion to this deck.
Thanks for the input.
I've also decided to try out Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. I though the card was really interesting, so I've added into this deck. It can obviously help get monsters into the graveyard to remove with Bazoo or Gigantes, also it adds a bit more field control to this deck.
I added in another Phoenix Wing Wind Blast cause I really want to test this card out, and the best way I can think to do that is maxing it out. I'm not sure what else I want to change right now, I've only play tested this deck a few times, so I think I might need to get some more mileage out of it before I can really tell where it needs work.
So I was just running through some cards, and I thought of something that might really work well in this deck: D. D. Designator.
Sangan is back in the new ban list, so I'll see a monster occasionally from my opponent, but there are also a few other ways this card shines in this deck. Firstly if this card is used at the right time, and I call it wrong, I can remove one of my own monsters from play to use with Dimension Fusion. Secondly it combos great with Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, put a card back on my opponents deck, and then take it next turn. It would work better with Compulsory Evacuation Device, so I may add two copies of that into the deck.
1) Since you're running 2 Bazoo and 2 Gigantes, I'd suggest going with 2 Dimension Fusion. With only one, you're not going to draw it consistently enough to make it worth while. And if you dont need its effect, it can be discarded for Chiron, Phoenix Blast, Vortex, or Graceful Charity.
2) If you want hand disruption, I'd recommend Mind Crush over D.D. Designator. With Designator, when you guess correctly (and guess a monster), you're opponent will automatically have something that will be brought back with Dimension Fusion. Mind Crush can be activated on your opponents turn. So when you use Wind Blast, you'll know the card they're going to draw, and can get rid of it before they can use it.
3) I think you can do without the lone Creature Swap. It only works with the single scapegoat and Nimbles. If you were going to use the Creture Swap offensively, I'd suggest Hyenas over Nimbles since they be special summoned in attack position. However, since you're running Dimension Fusion, you need the LP gain, which means yes to Nimble, and no to Swap.
4) I'm not a fan of Big March of Animals, Especially since only 7 of your 17 monsters are Beast type. It really depends how it playtests, but if you find it not running well, consider 2 Gaia Power instead. That will boost the atk of every single one of your monsters.
Good luck with the deck. Could you take a look at the Field/Hand Control deck that I have in my signature?
Here are some of my suggestions. I'd take out the 2 Bazoos and I'd toss in 2 Pitch Black Warwolves. They would be great for foing up against a trap user. Bazoos tend to backfire a bit much.
Also I would take out 1 Behemoth... 2 of them seem to be a bit much. Maybe toss in a Manticore or a Big Tusked Mammoth. Mammoth is one of the most underrated Beasts in my opinion. If your opponent summons something scary like a BLS or anything else it can't attack on the same turn it's summoned.
Also I suggest getting a side deck because I run a beast deck and my side deck is the key. I have a Mystic Knight and a Ghost Knight Of Jackal in it. They are great for control. If you can get your opponent in a Jackal Lock it's practically over.
Also as a solution to your power problem I suggest the field card Gaia Power. It increases all Earth Monsters by 500 atk and Beasts have ALOT of Earth Monsters.
fozzofzion: I did take some of your advice and added in a second Dimension Fusion. I think I'm also going to ditch the DD Designator for the reasons you mentioned. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to put in place of them yet, but we'll see. I also think I'm going to drop Big March, cause like you are saying 10 Beasts just doesn't seem like it's enough for the card to work well.
DRD: I think I'm going to drop one Behemoth for a Big Tusked Mammoth. It's an interesting monster as you said, and it's effect could end up being pretty useful.
This deck is working out well, it took out a Chaos Deck pretty easily today, but only time will tell how sturdy this deck really is.
Alrighty, so I was thinking about it, and I really want to add 2 Nobleman of Crossouts to this deck. They just fit to well not to use. Between the Book of Moons and the Swords of Concealing Light they can be useful most of the time. This may mean I'll get rid of Dimension Fusion, I really haven't decided yet.
If I get rid of the Dimension Fusions, I may also get rid of the Chiron's and add in King Tigers.
I can't make any decisions tonight, so I'll think it all over and figure it out tomorrow.
This deck has been working pretty well, hopefully these changes will make it run even smoother. I've been thinking that if the Dimension Fusions aren't to my liking, I may dump them and the two Bazoos for 2 Gaia Powers and 2 King Tigers.
So I still haven't decided which way I want to go. What do you guys think:
2 Bazoo the Soul Eater
2 Dimension Fusion
or
2 Gaia Power
2 King Tiger Wanghu
I'm starting to lean more towards the latter. I think it would be a safer bet for this deck. Gaia Power would be useful a lot more than Dimension Fusion would.
So after talking about it time and time again, I've added in 2 King Tigers and 2 Gaia Power. I think these will help the deck to run smoother. Dimension Fusion just seemed to hit or miss in this deck. If it has a deck built around it, it's great, but it was here more as a secondary tactic, and I don't think that's where it really shines. The Gaia Powers just make most of the monsters in this deck into Juggernauts. Berserk Gorilla is a 2500 attacker, Chiron 2300, Gigantes 2400, Battle Ox and King Tiger 2200, the list goes on and on. Bring on the Chaos, I'm ready.
