I think spell absorption is an awesome card. continous magic card, every time a spell is played u gain 500. If this thing goes unchecked it can easily give u 2000-4000 life points. spells make up the majority of decks these days, from pot of greed, change of heart, premature burial, book of moon, and even mst and such will still give u 500. Life gain isnt as effective as burn, but when one card can give u mass life gain why not? that boost can let u be a bit more reckless and take chances that could win it for you. It can fit into almost any deck except last turn maybe. If anyone still uses fire princess you will love this card. Ive tested it in my new ban deck and it does wonders, its an amazing first turn drop. i generally use it and 1 or 2 spells, than either they mst it so i got roughly 1500 or they cant destroy it so they hold off on spells or just ignore it and let me gain and gain. exodia could also like this, more life points u have the harder they will have to work to hurry and beat you.
I'm running 3 in my current deck. It won't ever be tournament legal, but I have fun playing it (though it's very cheap deck). Once we get the new ban list, I'll probably look to trade for a couple more Fire Princess, and make my deck an all out burn deck.
Yes, Spell Absorption is a VERY good card since it counts you AND the opponent's magic cards played.
I use 3 in a few of my deck and it DEFINITELY works great in my LP gaining/Agent deck with 3 Marie the Fallen One, Dancing Fairy, Spirit of the Breeze, Cure Mermaid, etc. I can easily gain around 20,000+ LP in my own turn alone and then my Mars and Saturn can wreck complete havok :devious:
yea its sick with the agents, play it than use 2 goblin theif, activate sanctuary in the sky and summon mars. 3500 attack right there. it also works great with terraforming, since u get to play terraforming than the field spell u got with it without losing hand advantage.
For mid to late game Solem Wishes is usualy more dependable. Every time you draw gain 500 LP. after the first few turns you usualy have 2-3 cards in hand and have usualy used most of your spells. Gaining a stedy 500 per turn is better in the long run in my oppinion. pluss it benifits from graceful, pot, draged down into the grave, jar, good goblin, and other drawing power monsters that you can put in a deck.
ive found solemn wishes is to slow, and doesnt last long enough to really matter, spell absorption adds up quick which is why i prefer it. while it may guarantee at least 500, it generally takes several turns to add up to anything decent, not to mention u have to wait a turn just to use it. i guess in a hardcore life gain deck u could use both though.

Why use Goblin Thief? Just use Tremendious Fire if you want to do any kind of actual damage. Increasing your life points I would keep for Mystic Wok. A lot faster boost with Spell Absorbation. Also, it will be tournament legal since it's a FET card. April 1st isn't that far away. But I wouldn't go out on a limb and say it's "uber" awesome. -_- Let's not bring up agruements over BLS and CED shall we.
its not uber awesome as you call it, but most people see life gain and call it thrash. as for trememndous fire, thats not a bad idea, but goblin theif puts a 1500 point gap in life points while trememndous fire only puts a 1000. still worth a try though maybe 2 goblins and 2 trememendous fire. and cy i checked the faq and it doesnt say, but i would assume that it does until we know for sure.
