I searched and couldn't find a topic on this.......and Netrep doesn't seem to have anything on it..........so.......

Situation:
-I have Bottomless Shifting Sand out and active.
-My opponent has DD Dragon out.
-I summon Sasuke Samurai

When it comes time for BSS to kill, does it go for DD Dragon, fail, and give up?
Or does it go for my SS instead (being the next highest attack monster on the field)?

Bottomless Shifting Sand will attempt to destroy your Different Dimension Dragon, but won't be able to. Like all non-targeting cards, after determing the monster it is going after during resolution, it will only go after that specific monster(s) and not default onto other one(s) because of effects.

Ah, so basically Bottomless Shifting Sand becomes useless until a monster with an equal or higher attack shows up on the field.
