First, I shall explain some of the basic staples in an Ectoplasmer deck.
Monsters-
Basic Monster Staples
Malice Doll of Demise- Works because when it is destroyed by a Continuous Spell card's effect, it comes back to the field during the next standby phase. Just like V-Lord.
Spells-
Basic Spell Staples
Ectoplasmer- Hmm, if you don't know why this is here, go somewhere else.
Swords of Concealing Light- This card is amazingly good in this deck. How? By not letting your opponent tribute any of your monsters he already has on his field for 2 turns. It says that it flips monsters face down. And Ectoplasmer can only force you to tribute face-up monsters. So that works very well.
Last Will- Obviously, tribute a monster with Ectoplasmer at the end of the turn. Then get another ready and waiting to tribute next time around.
Creature Swap- Give them your weak little Sinister and you pick up a whopping monstrosity and hit it. Then blow up then monstrosity and get back your Sinister. Win-Win.
Traps
Basic Trap Staples
Now, they're are many different combos and builds with this deck, as I am going to show you, but they all have the same distinct Spell and Trap line-up. Except for the Spells, which you can run 2 types of Spell builds: Stall and Beatdown.
Stall Spells Line-up:
3- Ectoplasmer
3- Swords of Concealing Light
3- Last Will
2- Level Limit-Area B
2- Scapegoat
8- Staples~ MST, Charity, PoG, Burial, Card D., Snatch Steal, Lightning Vortex and Heavy Storm
Beatdown Spell Line-up:
3- Ectoplasmer
2- Last Will
2- Swords of Concealing Light
2- Creature Swap
2- Nobleman of Crossout
8- Staples~ Mentioned Above ^_^
The Stall must have more Spells, which is obvious.
Later on tommorow, I will explain more of the basic decks and many, and I mean many, combinations that you can use with this underrated card. Until next time, farewell!
True, yugiboy, those are also great additions, thanks for helping me out with my next section of this huge article: Choosing and Constructing the Deck-Type.
There are many variants that I have been able to come up with to make this Ectoplasmer deck work. Some of them you might say, "How's that possible?"
But, to my thinking and some testing IRL and on YVD, these are amazingly great decks.
