looks like a pretty solid deck u may even want to consider running mind wipe or trap dust shoot then hit them with a greed or null and void but aside from that pretty creative and good 8/10 please rate my deck for regionals
I used to play a Greed deck for a while that was very fun. However, Greed is a poor substitute for magical Thorns. Personally, I would reduce or eliminate Greed from your line up and concentrate on more draw power to help get your main trap on the field.
Spear Cretin is another poor substitute for the variety of use you can get out of Night Assailants. The overall monster line up is interesting. Im not sure that the 3 DDAssailants fit the theme too well. They seem like some kind of alternative plan. Tsukoyomis are excellent tech and will help reuse your Needle Worms. If you choose Tsukoyomi though, consider at least 1 Book of Sun (aka Taiyou) to really speed up the madness.
the joker, you should also be aware that Magical Thorn has been errata'd so it only counts discards from the hand, so they won't take damage from cards discarded by Morphing Jar #2's effect.
Deck out/Mill decks are quite fragile and don't work very well in comeptative enviornments. Splashing in Magical Thorn to try and make it a burn deck only weakens you deckout strategy and options.
If this is not a deckout deck, but rather a burn deck utilizing Magical Thorn, then take out the Needle Worms and Morphing Jar #2's. They have no place in a Magical Thorn deck.
Also get rid of Judement of Anubis. There are only TWO cards it can work against. I would also drop the Greed/Disturnace strategy component as it really limits your remaining card slots.
Focus on either Burn/Stall or Burn/discard. 3 Magical Thorns is fine.. However, this implies you are going witha Burn/discard build. You can go with White Magical Hats, Don Zaloogs, Toon Gemini Elf, Robbin Goblin, etc (you don't need all of those, just some options.) Things that can attack under your stall cards would be best. A Morphing Jar, Tysukomi, LLAB and Magical Thorn should be an effective win condition. Card Destruction can also work well in conjunction with a Magical Thorn, especially with a big hand from cyber jar. Deliquent Duo seems like an obvious choice. Everything else should be creature kill oriented.
Well, I have been contemplating putting one of these decks together as well, but as someone mentioned above, Needle Worm will not work w/Magical Thorn...here is a partial ruling:
"The effect of "Magical Thorn" is only applied when a card is discarded from your opponent’s hand to your opponent’s Graveyard."
So cards such as Card D, D Duo, M Jar #1 all work fine....so you might want to rethink your card selections if you want it truly to be a Magical Thorn deck.
Try cards like Don Zaloog, White Magical Hats, MoP w/Fairy Meteor Crushes, etc.
thank you falcore, i do know the errated ruling of magical thorn.
im still going to keep the needle worms in there just to tear my opponents deck to shreads.
and since you can use three morphing jar #2's, im going to abuse that privaledge, so i can sit there for turns and turns
sweet deck
maybe 1 thing though:
try another cretin instead of cyber
2 reasons:
a) u can get that good defensive lock going
b) cyber jar ....., we all know that :ermm:
other than that, solid deck, very original
8/10 competitive
10/10 originality
