Easy question.

Can Self Destruction Switch be chained to the effect of Elephant Statue of Disaster?

(Elephant Statue of Disaster is discarded from the hand to the gy via Last turn. Last turn player will lose the game when Elephant Statue resolves. Can Last turn player, chain to Elephants Statues effect with Self Destruction Switch to get a game draw?)

Yes, you can chain Self-Destruct Button to the effect of Elephant Statue of Disaster. Ruling #4 under it states:
You can use "Barrel Behind the Door" against the effect of "Elephant Statue of Disaster".
As such, it would have to be a chainable process or Barrel Behind the Door couldn't be used against it.

I to agree that it should be a chainable event, though a thought passed by me right know........... and just wanted to be clear on this if so you could practically chain any other effect such as Kuriboh, Night A. etc......... this has nothing to do with BBTD being a Counter Trap card?????? Just a thought

Anything that triggers a new chain (non-continuous effects) like Kuriboh, Night Assailant, etc. can be chained to if the chained card is appropriate (i.e. Divine Wrath). Had the effect of Elephant Statue of Disaster been a continuous effect, Barrel Behind the Door could not be used against it (because it wouldn't create a chainable event) and the same would end up applying to Self-Destruct Button.

last turn sends the cards to the graveyard at the same time, by the time you realize that your opponent discarded an elephant statue, your self destruct button is already in the grave, and last turn is resolving so there is no way you can play the button.
