When Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the beginning uses his effect that allows him to attack one monster after the other in a row, is that considered using a card effect to attack the monsters, becuase if it was then the effect monsters wouldn't work. Or does have to specifically say its using its card effect to attack- like it does on some cards such as sasuke samurai-that it's using its effect to attack?

the effect says that if it destroys a monster as a result of battle, then you can attack again. So if you were to attack and destroy something, you could attack again.

You can only use one effect of BLS - EOTB per turn. When BLS - EOTB attacks an opponent's monster, you can choose to attack once or to use its effect to attack twice. However, you cannot attack twice in the same turn if you already used its first special effect (remove one monster on the field from play). If you choose to remove one monster on the field from play during Main phase 2, then you cannot attack twice. Hope this will help you understand about the effects of BLS - EOTB.

To elaborate a bit more in this.............. is not only that you cannot attack twice if you remove a monster, if you use BLS removal effect, you simply can't attack with him during the same turn............ you gotta choose one effect or the other........

One day I hope they Match the way his effects are activated with the way its done in the OCG. Things would be so much Easier.

Basically, you're asking if BLS - EotB destroys a monster by effect when it attacks?

If so, the answer is no. BLS - EotB's ability merely allows it to attack a second time if its first attack destroyed a monster.

So, effects like "Mystic Tomato" or "Pyramid Turtle" (which only trigger if they are destroyed as a result of battle) will trigger if BLS - EotB attacks and destroys them.

Of course, if you meant something completely different, then... :ermm:

"Destroy your opponent's monster with this cards effect when attacking?"

You're looking at it the wrong way. Whether or not an effect allows BLS to attack has NO bearing on whether a monster like Mystic Tomato will get its effect.

All that matters is how the losing monster was destroyed. It was either destroyed by battle or by a card effect. Being destroyed by battle means that you compare the atk/def points of the monsters and do damage calculation.

So, even though it's an effect that lets BLS attack a second monster, it doesn't make the monster destroyed by an effect. It was destroyed by BATTLE (which happened to be allowed by an effect, but it doesnt' make the monster destroyed by the effect).

If BLS said "You can attack again once in a row and the monster BLS attacks is automatically destroyed without damage calculation" THEN it would be destroyed by effect.

That is what Mystic Swordsman monsters say. This is different.
