Hey guys, i was just havin fun playin yu-gi-oh with a friend, and was going through his binder, and saw the equip card amplifier, this made me think of a very odd loop. and i was wondering what the ruling on it would be.
If i play jinzo, then equip it with amplifier, and then activate imperial order what happens
because the loop is like this
jinzo + amplifer means i can play my own traps, but then if i flip up imperial order, it negates amplifier, then jinzo goes back into effect and negates my traps, but then imperial order is negated and amplifier starts to work again... ect... ect... so what would happen if this happened at a tournament (assuming either imperial order wasnt banned or you were useing traditional format)
Ahhh...nice loop Insane_Gremlin. Hmmm...thats tough. I'd guess that you'd be in a forever loop resulting in a lock. So I'd guess that you'd lose that game probably, but don't take my word for it, I'm sure an elite judge will come and sort this out :p
This is pretty simple actually since infinite loops can't exist. They made an ettra to Amplifier that says it can't be negated. Therefore you could use Imperial Order to lock down magics and still use your own traps.
This card can only be equipped to "Jinzo". As long as this card is equipped, the effects of Trap Cards controlled by the equipped monster's controller are not negated by the effect of the equipped monster. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is destroyed. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated by any other card.
There were all sorts of problmes with this in Japan, that's why they errated their own version (because otherwise it was a game screweruper) and ours has that nifty line of text saying its activation and effect can't be negated.
Why did my correct answer, which happened to be based on what they did in Japan, get ignored? I mean the English card does have the extra text, but they ettra'd the Japanese one. Plus, why don't people read their cards?...

Jejejeje.......... don't worry about it Andro ill back you up on this one ;)........ your TOTALLY correct, Amplifier is unable to be negated........
