Other than Snatch, Crossout and any Equip card. Are ther any other used cards that Target?
I've just heard the Fissure, Smashing Ground, Hammer Shot don't target.? What gives??

Cards that say "Select 1 Monster on your/opponent's/on the Field" are USUALLY considered targeting like Shadow Spell, Nightmare Wheel, Spellbinding Circle, Tribute to the Doomed, Dark Core, etc.

Cards like Fissure, Smashing Ground, Hammer Shot and other's don't target because you do not get to select any specific target because the card automatically destroys whatever the lowest ATK/highest DEF/highest ATK/etc on the opponent's field. You don't have any selection choice in the matter (unless the monster's have equal, then one of them has to go, but it's not targeting).

Another good targeting spell is brain control


-Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field. Take control of the selected monster until the End Phase of the turn this card is activated.

Well the purpose of this thread was to fide out what cards out there "targeted"
I've been experimenting with Spell Shield Type-8 and the First effect of the card says that it Negates cards the Target Monster cards, with the Second effect being like Magic Jammer except for the discarding of a spell card part.

cb one, as was already said, cards effects that have you select a card at activation targets.

like was said, fisher, smashing ground, hammer shot do not target because you don't get to choose, at resolution the card automatically selects the appropriate monster, if there are multiple monsters with the same stat that would be choosen, then you get to choose, but this isn't targeting because its not done at activation.

also creature swap is not targeting because monsters are choosen at resolution, not activation.
