can you use the creator to special summon face down i ve seen people use maruding captin to special summon face down just wanting a ruling on that

I believe you must special summon in a face up position, or at least thats what i remember seeing in the rule book.

All Special Summons must be in Face-up ATK or Face-up DEF unless the effect states otherwise.

all Special summons are face up like yugfreak said, or else it would be called speacial set. :/

Actually they are still considered special summons: "special summon a monster in face-down defense position", (ie The Shallow Grave, Apprentice Magician).......
