First of all, I know this has been started before and before any of you more advanced duelists start having hissy fits, i would just like to tell you that after the 6-7 page of search i got tired.
I was duelign a guy in a card shop today and the set up looked like this.
Me--fu sanctuary---2 fd monsters
Opponent--fu ground collapse----2 set m/t----fd monster
I sac a monster and summon agent of judgement-saturn
Opponent respawns with trap hole.
Would i be able to activate saturns effect before the effects of trap hole?
And if priority doesnt pertain to this situation please say so.
Thanks.
you as a player have the priority to activate anything before your opponent responds , so you should of said " i use my priority to activate the effect of agent..." and then your opponent would of respond with trap hole.
Thanks static, thats what i thought. My opponent blew out in a storm of rage. If anybody else would like to add other interesting facts about priority pelase do so. I hope somebody makes a sticky on this.
Trap Hole could not be activated in this scenario if the turn player uses their priority to activate the effect of Saturn..
To activate Saturn's effect you must tribute it. Trap Hole requires that a face up monster with an attack of 1000 or greater be on the field at activation. Since it's not there anymore how can they play Trap Hole?
You can refer to similar rulings for Trap Hole vs. Exiled Force.

actually, after a normal/tribute summons, special summons, or flip summons you as the turn player are allowed to use Priority to:
a) activate an Ignition effect of one of your monsters face up on the field, or
b) activate a speed 2 or 3 spell/trap card.
if you choose NOT to do either of these, the opponent gets passed Priority to respond to your summons.
please note that after one of the summons above, you may NOT use Priority to play a Speed 1 Spell Card. the opponent must pass Priority back to you (by not responding to the summons) before you can play a Speed 1 Spell Card.
