Can some one please explain the purpose of this card...im kind of stumped...
Abyssal Designator
-Spell-
Pay 1000 Life Points, Declare a Type and an Attribute. Your opponent must send 1 card with both the Tyoe and Attribute declared from his/her hand or deck to the graveyard.
does this mean i play this and declare Dark Fiend and they discard that , or am i missing something, it dosent seem like such a bad card except for that 1000lp payment...
Yes that's exactly what it does................... the only thing is that you might end up helping your opponent, by thinning his/her deck or since your opponent chooses the monster hell probably send something that he needs.........
thnx.... it still seems pretty good to me, i guess if you combo it with soul release...but...thnx... the administrators can close this thread now if they wish
It's useful with cards such as "Dark Designator". You could add "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" to your opponent's hand, and then use "Abyssal Designator" to rid yourself of that threat (although it's a 2-for-1 deal that costs 1000 LP =/).

How will this help exactly????? they can still send a Light/Warrior from their deck or if they have another Light/Warrior in their hand theyll send it as well............ this is just a way to speed up your demise noless :ermm:
No, you name "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" with "Dark Designator", forcing them to add it to their hand, then you name Light/Warrior with "Abyssal Designator", most likely forcing them to discard "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" (obviously it's possible they have another one, but I'm just pointing out ways it could be useful).
I have a very important question>Can my opponent activate a normal or continous spell during my Main phase?
I will only ask you once. Please, DO NOT spam other threads with questions that have NOTHING to do with the topic being discussed.
You must start a NEW thread asking this question, otherwise, your question will, more than likely, be ignored as it does not contribute to the current topic.

Not to be rude or critical........ but this use does nothing :ermm:, im guessing you were going more along the lines of Dark Designator and DD Designator, thats a 2 4 1 trade, Abyssal does nothing to help the cause :squareeye
Halfdemoninuyas, it is fine for him to ask a question within a thread. A simple question like that takes like 1 minute to answer. Please be a little more civil.
And the answer to the question is no Normal or Continuous Spell cards may be activated by your opponent during your turn, only Quickplay Spell cards.

You don't need dark designator to make Abyssal designator work.

You can just activate Abyssal Designator without Dark Designator. It doesn't have to be in their hand. You could use it and call Light and Warrior, but a problem that might stop BLS to be sent to the graveyard is another monster with the same attribute and type, and that is widely used: D. D. Warrior Lady. So Abyssal Designator isn't that good.
