you have 6 tributes, 4 of them can be special summoned with out a tribute. however you are truely only granteed that 1 of your tributes can be special summonned (pheonix). statisically you can probably diffently get one to two vampire lords out with the turtles. i would bet that when you start playing this deck you will see a lot of bad draws because you will dark a tribute monster when their nothing to tribute. or you might start with 2 out of your 3 vampire lords in your hand, and they cannot be special summoned from the hand.
and no offense you can throw in 3 vampire lords and 3 turtles and a pheonix and call it zombie pheonix ownage. only one third of your monsters are zombies, a good zombie deck should have at least two thirds of monsters zombies. this way you can play 2 to 3 book of life and really bring many zombies out from the grave yard. just remember that since you can play 3 vampire lords doesn't mean you should. i love dmoc too, but he doesn't go in every deck.

i know this deck looks funny and it is.....giant rats are not the best monsters to use cuz they can suk in a top deck, that is why i run a deck that had mad tribs in them. the deck works good, it is jsut that wheni get dmocin the gravem he is a god. then if you look at this deck, it works like a deck that would get your magics back. then there way the whole thing with the 3 vampires. i drew 3 int he first hand and i was laughin my A S S off. i was also thinkin that i could run Card destruction, but the wheni played with it today, the Dmoc doesn't even show up during the duel and when he did he was already inthe grave due to monster reneicarnation. that card is goos cuz i get rid of the tribs and get lower and more effective cards from the grave to my hand. another thing is that Airknight is god for leting me draw cards, the more cards i draw, the more of a way i can find ways to get my vampires out, and the get Dmoc to darw more cards and to have Phoenix to blow up the spell/ trap field so, i know this deck looks funny but it works ok for me, i wll try to take out maybe the dmoc if it has anymore trouble and card destruction will go in or maybe my body as a shield...maybe anything eles i should think about guys?
if u can giv us at least 10 situations that involves DMOC and made the game turn around or let u win it when u played him u can keep him in the deck
cmon u only want DMOC becuz of the picture... theres no duelist that won a duel with that mentality
DMOC is NOT a bad card but it aint a game winner either exept in a spellcaster deck if u really like the card just make a side dek with him in it :) that would be a good solution that way u'll always have ur dmoc with ya

so i'm guessing that you're saying the zombie deck jae kim got 2nd with at charlotte SJC is bad cuz it only ran 6 zombies (2 vlord, 2 turtle, 2 reaper)? gimme a break.
anyways, onto the deck..take everyone's advice and drop the other tributes. phoenix and 2 vlord is plenty, yet alone 3 vlord. i'd also suggest putting in 1 or 2 apprentice magician so you have SOME way of searching for the hand besides sangan. dark blue/purple is also hard to read on black background btw. just somethin to think about ;)

i am not going to give you break. let me guess he also had some other spellcasters that are also apart of cookie cutter. he could also call it a spellcaster deck. our call it a beast deck because b. gorilla and pheonix in there. my point is that unless the majority of you monsters are specfic type of monster you really cannot call it certain type of deck. all that dippy is trying to build here is another so called zombie controll that man duelist are going to try and play this october, no offense intended dippy.

yea breaker, tribe, serpent, sangan and magician of faith aren't zombies, they are (practically) in every deck, but that's cuz they are obviously good cards. using good cards gives you a higher chance of winning. should one have to use a non-playable zombie like regenerating mummy or vampire lady instead of one of them just cuz they're zombies and you're playing a "zombie" deck?
airknight, not a zombie, is in there to combat the scapegoat usage, and draw power is big in this game. in this sense more useful than ryu kokki, a zombie.
everything else in the deck (rats, exiled force, morphing jar) aren't zombies, but is called synergy to get out the vlords, arguably the best zombie in the tcg, or to serve other purposes in their own respective regard.

it's not so much the majority of a deck being a certain type (saying like 2/3 should be zombies), but look at the overall ratio of them. in jae's build, 6 zombies:3 spellcaster:1 fiend, etc etc. while the majority of the entire monster lineup may not be zombies, there are more zombies than any other monster type.
I would put an opinion in on Hiei and terroking's arguement but thats not the reason were here. were supposed to be helping this guy with his deck.But from what I'm seeing,he acts as if he doesn't want it. All I'm saying to you dippy is that when you put yourself in these types of situations, don't try to explain it away. that just makes things complicated.
i was thinking it was more of a debate than an argument myself (i don't like being in arguments), we both have valid points and everything, being able to back it up with both facts and opinions. i can respect that.
as for dippy's deck, it's usable, and i gave an input into what he should do. there are plenty of phoenix/zombie decks floating around on the boards to check out and get ideas from also.
so everyone seems to want dmoc out due to the fact that he is a spellcaster. and i also have to disagree that dmoc is only good in certain decks. her is a beatstick and i still will run him due to the fact that i feel better with him in this deck also, when he is removed, i will have already got the magicard that i was wanting for him, i will take him out cuzhe slows the deck down alot, i wll not lie about that............anyone else think this deck sucks? lemme know
