If my opponent plays Creature Swap, and takes contorl of my Sangan, and then uses it as a tribute, would HE get the effect? Or would I?
Another Question:
"...return to Owner's Hand" Opponent plays Creature Swap and flips a card which says to return to the owner's hand. If i played the damn card from my hand, from my deck, would the owner's hand be mine?

Thanks if you can help.
1. No...because it goes to YOUR graveyard.
If you control your opponent's "Sangan" and it is destroyed, your opponent gets the effect since it activates in his/her Graveyard.
2. Cards NEVER go to the owner's hand, deck, fusion deck, graveyard or removed from play area unless an effect says so like...
1st. Sangans effect resolves in the graveyard, and since he goes to your graveyard yes you get the effect.
2nd. Return to the owners hand means yours. If he takes our creature and you play compulsary evacution device or penguin soldier, you get your card back.

Hope this helps...
Well I know this stuff already, I just wanted people to post what it does, cuz my friend (SoV) believes it's the other way around. So thanks for proving him wrong.

ummm, HDI i respect you way too much to believe that that's what you think.
i hope you meant to say that cards ALWAYS go to the owner's hand, deck, fushion deck, graveyard or removed from play area unless a card effect says otherwise.
(and that "owner" referrs to the person who owns the card)

Yeah, I worded that completely wrong (I had about 8 different post responses going at once.)
Meant to say that it never goes to your OPPONENT'S hand, deck, graveyard and all that junk unless an effect says so.
what about Monster's that negate effect? Will sangan's effect still activate since it activates in the graveyard or is it negated totally?
If...Dark Ruler Ha Des destroys Sangan in battle...Divine Wrath is chained to its effect activation....Dark Balter the Terrible kills it in battle, etc...Sangan's effect WILL be negated and the owner will NOT be able to search for a card...
