I was into yugioh but gave all my cards away I manged to scrape a deck together but its not great any suggestions on types of decks or just tips period. I got a fusion card into it to but any suggestions on new ones I got flame swordsman.

There are many types of deck you can build, expecially with the great commons from structure decks. Maybe warrior or zombie since those two structures are the best. You can also build a burn deck, a Soul Control deck, REBD (with Inferno Fire Blast), BEWD (BEUD coming out in Jan Shonen Jump mag), Earth, Chaos (using Chaos Sorcerer), Ritual, water, beastdown, earth/beastdown, Last Turn, and more.

Well...i guess one tip i may be able to offer is always have deck flexibility in mind...so try out fast,flexible decks like Zombie decks. Or you could just go way out and try out a Lv deck...

Figure out what sort of strategy you want to use...find out which booster packs or Structure Decks contain cards that best fit the strategy and build it and test it out while trying out other cards.

I would agree with Halfdemon with the packs thing. Try light they got some stuff,Warrior has some nice things in it too.
