I have a question about Royal Decree? I was playing with my friend and he has a royal decree face-down and I have a face down dust tornado. So I activate Dust torado to destroy his Face-down royal decree . But he activate the card.. so does royal decree destroy by my dust tornado or royal negate the torando effect.

Does Royal Decree chain any trap cards?
1) Call Of the Haunted
2) Waboku

If he chained Royal Decree to your Dust Tornado, Dust Tornado would be negated.

Player A: Activates Dust Tornado.
Player B: Chains with Royal Decree

Resolve it backwards:

1. Royal Decree negates traps.
2. Dust Tornado is a trap so it is negated, and is removed from the field.

Royal Decree negates ALL traps except itself.

i think you could chain to your royal dcree by activating call of the haunted but im not sure about it but still check around.

1. Decree negates Dust Tornado and Decree is not destroyed

2. If you want Call of the Haunted to work, you activate Decree first and then chain Call of the Haunted so Call of the Haunted resolves first.

3. Same as 2.

Except for royal surrender! The only trap designed to negate royal decree.

Counter Traps are not specifically designed for Royal Decree....... Decree is just ONE of the many traps that are able to be stopped........


Take Solemn Judgment for instance, its designed for all stopping all sorts of things including stoping Royal Decree.....

there are lots of traps, as you can see, that can stop Royal Decree. Dust Tornado, Trap Jammer, Solemn Judgment...the one thing they all have in common is they must be CHAINED TO Royal Decree in order for them to work. If Royal Decree is allowed to resolve without being destroyed first in chain, then you're out of luck.

Actually Shiek, despite the pic, it's not "specifically" designed for Royal Decree. Otherwise, the text would say "This card can only be activated when Royal Decree is activated". lol
